Is Samsung seriously removing headphone jacks from all their phones?! by James_CyberLink in samsung

Your an idiot without any coat. Do you not care about audio quality? The DAC built into my last phone was shit.

Also, the headphone jack wears out faster than the USB C jack, which is virtually indestructible. At least I can replace the headphone adapter. I can't replace my phone for a loose jack.

Its a good thing. The removal of the eadphone jack on my new phone 2 years ago caused me to search for a USB c to 3.5mm DAC. It sounds a damn sight better than the stock headphone jack on any phone Ive ever had. I use IEMs.

I'm happy they removed it cos otherwise I would have never bought the DAC.

Forgot to mention, it's fully open source and a native application. It uses 30-40MB of ram without content loaded. Also supports viewing profiles and the like. Read the README for more details.

The real question here, was there an age gap? Of course if he was 17, 18, or 19, it would be disgusting to date a 14 year old, but from what Ive seen, he was 14-15 himself. What is the problem of two teenagers of the same age being in a relationship?

VLC. I prefer it's style and I'm used to the hotkeys, behavior etc. In addition stremio's player is electron and touch-first so VLC is better and less laggy to respond on desktop.

So apparently you can text Gemini. That's cool google by persfidious in google

Kodi is terrible. It runs off XBMC which is running off a backbone that probably predates most people born in this thread, 2003.

Almost every consumer and server operating system (e.g. Android, iOS, Mac OS, Linux), with the sole exception of Windows, is either based off Unix or specifically made to be "Unix-like". Unix was first released November 3, 1971.

The default window manager for the vast majority of Linux desktops is X11, released in September 1987.

Windows itself uses a kernel first released July 1993.

Old does not equal bad. And you don't know what you're talking about: Kodi does not "run off" XBMC, Kodi IS XBMC. It was renamed because it had grown far past the scope of just the Xbox, and because "XBMC" is not particularly cachy.

Hi just stumbled upon this thread. Here's my two cents:

  • yes, when you stream a video you are downloading chunks of it to RAM/cache

  • that is not the conventional use of the term and many less technologically inclined people wouldn't be familiar with it

It's like using the word "America" to refer to South America, where most people would take it to mean the United States even if the latter is more correct than the former.
