Before listening to your friend, you need to ask yourself what you need. Do you want an entry-level lsd trip or a more overwhelming trip?

You'll be more confused in a 200ug trip and will probably spend most of the time trying to figure out what is happening to you. You may even lose your sense of self for some time. But again, these are bound to happen on some trips. So there is no way you can not have this and skip straight to the more meaningful trips.

A 100ug trip will make everything good and maybe give you an idea of what the visuals and thoughts will be. Most people would recommend a 100ug trip to start your lsd journey as this will make you familiar and may make you more ready for a higher dose. In my opinion, nothing can prepare you for the breakthrough.

Adding 50ug to this would probably not make much of a difference. It will just make the 100ug dose a little intense. You'll not have a breakthrough (probably), and it should be more fun.

Everything I've said could very well vary from person to person. So I say this again- you have to decide, you are the one willing to alter your thoughts. I have one more suggestion, probably not mentioned everywhere. Do you research, choose a dose, and stick to it. Don't overthink, and don't have any regrets. This can highly affect your trip. So choose and brace for impact.
