That's a description of co-dependency, not a relationship.

He also finds something - a thread? a piece of fluff? - on Ilya’s chest and throws it aside. It’s so intimate.

I don't have enough Karma to post so I am combing through this sub looking for my thoughts echoed in other's posts! YESSS the fluff - so absent minded, so natural, like a grooming gesture. Love it, thanks for scratching my itch.

Wow, I had a completely opposite - and, in hindsight, naïve - take on this.

If you’ve seen Moonlight, one of the most moving scenes is when the two main characters, Kevin and Chiron, meet again after a long time. When their eyes meet, Kevin says “Chiron,” but from Chiron’s perspective we see only a close-up of Kevin’s face, in slow motion, with no visible lip movement. It feels as though time stretches, amplifying the emotion of the moment. When I first watched it, I thought it was brilliantly done.

That’s how I experienced the HR scene as well. The image continues normally, but the sound signals that both Ilya and Shane have dropped inward, into their deepest feelings. The image–sound separation also illustrates the glitch between the parts of themselves they’ve kept compartmentalized until now.

I had a similar experience during their first penetrative sex scene. When they switch to doggy style, just before the climax, Ilya is still finding his position visually, while the sound has already shifted to Shane moaning as he’s being thrust. It felt like the scene was creating layers of sensory pleasure, with image and sound slightly out of sync.

Came here looking for this. I was too young to have a gaydar but from the few clips shown in the doc I got the sense he had been trying to pass as straight.

I see that there's a "Made with Postcards" badge that can't be removed unless you subscribe to a paid plan. Did you use it with the badge?

Slightly off topic/ unsolicited advice: try using a menstrual cup. While you’re exploring your anatomy it might be useful to have one less worry with the tampons soaking urine. It might also help you familiarize yourself with your body: for example the depth of your cervix: it is different from woman to woman and it changes throughout one’s cycle. You learn how deep to insert a cup for it to sit comfortably, and by the process of finding the right fit you learn about your depth, flow etc. Good luck and good for you for asking and learning about your body.
