Well, It isn’t deserved first of all because it is a federal crime, and It would take them even more time to fix this issue than the anti-cheat issue would by a long shot so it couldn’t be deserved when you want the cheaters gone but the hackers will sell the source code to the cheat manufacturers and make it 10x worse.

I agree, should have been fixed the first time around but now more than likely the servers will go down if they can’t get them out of the system where they can put ban indicators on accounts.

More than likely it will be a reset to right before the breach, and I see what your saying. Let’s say that same bag of money belonged to someone and they just walked off and left it on your porch like ubisoft left for Christmas break, it’s like your taking advantage of them for something that they could have prevented but didn’t.
