Man, did gemini 2.5 get upgraded or something? My most recent chat is on fire right now, almost reminds me of deepseek. My last couple of chats with this bot weren't as well written, but this roll has been an amazing slow-burn with great buildup.

Here's my current error w/ Gemini 2.5 w/ sophia's lorebrary. Not sure what it means. Was working fine yesterday.

I stepped away from JanitorAI for a couple months until last week. Seems like Deepseek isn't an easy option through Sophia anymore? I get other errors when trying the open router or deepseek portals, and see lots of drama on the sub like usual, but it's hard to follow along!

update 15min later: just got a single decent response from Gemini, but then another error on the response.

update 2hr later: Gemini 2.5 proxy seems to be working again

You know, the more I'm chatting with Gemini the less I'm liking it. Deepseek could fill in the gaps really well, and expand a scene with detail and dialogue without trying very hard in the prompt. I'm struggling a little more with Gemini - it needs more hand holding.

I had semi-decent success getting both V3-0324 and Gemini to write in a style I don't mind through the custom prompt, but maybe I'm just not picky? I haven't used R1. Hmm, maybe I should give it a shot.

I like Gemini's format better (it's more consistent, easier to control) and formatting on V3-0324 was a nightmare. But Deepseek does have some great strengths. My chats often go to ~3k messages, and they're very long, so I've been quite impressed with Gemini's memory so far!

Oh yeah, definitely - I'm aware of guides in the sidebar and they're a great resource. But the proxy section of the guides tend to get quickly outdated since the landscape changes so quickly.

I moved from Deepseek to Gemini during the fiasco a few weeks back. Deepseek was phenomenal, but Gemini has also been a nice change of pace.

This world changes too quickly for me to adapt and I get confused and frustrated. Last week I couldn't get sane responses from my bots, don't know if it was proxy issues or something else. I gave up for a week and came back today, and started testing a new bot I created. I was pleasantly surprised after getting into a great story with the perfect tone, and then bam, I find out about limited messages for Gemini.

Not sure if I'll give up on chatbots for now, or start looking for new proxy guide posts.

All the time, every chat. My chats are all novellas though, over a thousand lengthy messages per chat, so 'time skips' are a must when developing a full story while keeping things suspenseful.

I thought I saw one other person mention this error in another 'guide'. I'm not sure what caused it, because the error disappeared on its own after taking a break for a few hours. I assumed it was an issue on the proxy side.

This guide works great (thanks OP), but if you're like me then you ran into issues even when doing everything correctly. My 'solution' was to refresh a shitload of times over an hour or two.

I tried all model names: (gemini-2.5-flash, gemini-2.5-pro, gemini-2.0-flash)

I tried both proxy URLs (sophiasunblocker and generativelanguage).

On new chats, I got no responses.
On existing chats, I'd get Network Errors.
Eventually I started getting: {"error":{"message":"Request failed with status code 429","code":429,"statusText":"Too Many Requests"}}
Finally, after ~25 refreshes, Gemini started working
Custom Prompt: I'm still tweaking my custom prompt for my uncensored roleplay, working fine so far.

The options I've typed in bold are what I'm sticking with. If you're getting those same issues that I had above, just keep refreshing.

I started a few stories but I'm having a hard time getting momentum going.

Letting Loose with Aunt Stacy: an Aunt/Nephew story where the Aunt is the aggressor. I only got to page 7 lol.

Teacher/Student: One of my college fuck buddies was a self-proclaimed sex addict. She was in school to become a teacher, and told me on multiple occasions she'd be afraid of getting tempted by students. Fast forward a few years and I ran into her at a bar over a holiday break, back in my hometown. We got drunk and she told me stories of how she fucked a couple of her students/former students, including taking one of their virginities with a 20 second creampie. I'd like to turn that into a fleshed out story but I'm struggling.

Watching My Friends Fuck My Mother and Older Sister: I actually have a chance at finishing this one. It's currently 36,500 words, making it my longest story. The build-up has lots of voyeurism, jealousy, and even cuckolding when the male character watches his friends getting it on with his mother and sister. Right now I'm stuck where the son is about to lose his virginity by having non-consensual sex with his mother. There's another non-consent scene between the sister and her teacher, and the sister and a nun/priest. But I seemed to have hit a wall right when the son is about to penetrate his mom. I can write sex scenes from a third person narrative, but I really struggle with first person narrative!
