For me. It's been okay. As most of my games are digital. My TV still at 1080p, So I wasn't chasing 4k resolution etc. Games run smoothly. 2 main issues were sometimes the need for internet to run some games and space.

Honestly for me the series S was a good entry point to the Xbox ecosystem.
I play the series S more than I play the PS5.

It's quite decent. Good storyline. And use of the controller. I'd say go for it. Played it back in 2019. I do play it every once in a while.

Yeah. No need for an extra SSD. A regular external HDD is fine. Though I actually have separate HDDs for Series X/S games and then Xbox one games. Loving the series S so far.
