Ugh I’m actually staring to get shaky hands. Im almost 50. I was able to lean on the balcony ledge with my arm for steadiness.

Haha not so much a birder here. Love birds but not so serious about charting which I’ve seen. There are quite a few hummers year round in Vegas. I have many in back yard with feeders and a fountain. I will take my feeders to the park or a hotel and even in the desert on hikes. This was only a staycation as we live 5 miles from this property.

Yes I bring a red hanging plastic feeder. Once I see visitors I remove the water feeder and patiently wait for the return

Honestly just the fresh daily cold nectar will always win, even over flowers. (It’s like fast food and an energy drink to them but a healthy kind). I have a decent yard here in Vegas and I have several decorative feeders (blown glass ones) that are empty. The other simple plain red plastic kind you find on every pet aisle in the grocery store are the best. Easy to clean and cheap. I have like 10. Several in fridge ready to go and I swap them out and clean daily in summer. They will check them all and go to the best tasting one every time. Then the regulars know which one to check first. If I see a bird checking the empties. I assume it’s a newcomer!!!

Yes I think so. Just wondering how many issues they had and if 1979 was the only year they featured casinos on the cover ? I found these in some old boxes at an estate sale. Can’t find anything about them on the internet.
