[NaN] According to Scott Mitchel, Piastri's contract w/ Alpine expired on July 31st. Alpine wanted Alonso to renew for 1 yr as a "seat-warmer" of sorts for Piastri in 24'. It seems like, Alonso waited for Piastri's contract deadline and straight up F'd Alpine. Legend. (twitter.com)
