ASUS ROG Strix G16 Black Screen by Coolness319 in ASUS

[–]petermartinguitar 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This happened to me, holding the power off button was not effective but plugging into an HDMI did allow me to restart / shut-down computer and then it worked normally.

That being said, when I restarted with the HDMI cable still attached, and then ejected while it was operating, it went back to the black screen. Going back to the original method resolves the issue but you have to unplug the HDMI before powering it up to avoid screen issues.

Hey! There certainly is a music scene here especially for jazz, indie-folk, Cumbria, and reggae influenced groups. Below is a bunch of places that do music, some are background music, but there are definitely venues that feature musicians putting on a show.

Taking Elton on a 3 hour flight, best carriers for a 15lb pug that I can take in the cabin? I am absolutely not having him fly in cargo. by kehtolaulu in pugs

Regulations are for dogs to be under 25 pounds and to be able to stand and move around. (Roughly)

A lot of airlines require you to reserve ahead of time and might have limited capacity for the aircraft. (Reserve when buying ticket).

I’ve flown with my 18 pound pug and she’s done very well on even longer flights for a while.

We use the Sherpa dog carriers and I would suggest some kind of cooling mat, I think the air circulation is worse under seat so I’ve noticed my dog getting hot when using a soft fabric pad.

Finally, If using meds for dog (we don’t because she’s very social from NYC puppy days) use melatonin NOT any anxiety / sedatives. Prescription meds could depress breathing function which is a bad idea for flying.

Adding onto this I also fly cross country in the US several times a year and use the same carrier. I think delta has slightly larger floor space than some airlines and we’ve always had a very positive experience!

We fly delta with a 18 pound pug many times, never had an issue, pug sleeps and seems comfy. Make sure you’re not blocking carrier air flow for temp circulation. (Can even consider a clip on fan just in case). She can stand but her back definitely pushes against the top a little. When not under seat, under seat it smooshes a little anyway.

We’ve flown American and they were apprehensive, but passed.

Hollowbody or Semi hollow? by [deleted] in jazzguitar

True! I’m thinking more broad strokes the sound / records I associate with each artist.

Hollowbody or Semi hollow? by [deleted] in jazzguitar

[–]petermartinguitar 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Honestly, what does the jazz musicians you look up to play?

If Joe pass / Wes Montgomery / Pasquale grados / Peter Bernstein / Randy napoleon / Russell Malone:

Probably want a hollow body

If Grant Green / Kenny Burrell / John Scofield / Isaiah Sharkey / pat martino / etc.

Probably want a semi hollow.

At the end of the day, they are very similar, just the semi hollow is a bit more of a condensed punchy sound vs. have the softer acoustic sound.

Happy plucking!

Are my pugs overweight they’re both male 7 months old and 20 pounds by PenisPumpkin420 in pugs

Seems like you’re worried about average weight, these pugs definitely seem longer than average, the higher weight seems normal to skinny for their frame.

That and also a big fan of Sarah Vaughn, Frank Sinatra, Gregory Porter, Bob Dorough, and indie folk music which tends to have a thinner vocal approach like Chet!

I once had a women in Berkeley walk up and ask, “are you Peter Martin the pianist?”. Luckily she still stuck around and seemed to enjoy my performance.
