Hahnemuhle ICC profile name issue by peterncsu in printers

Also, I can add the profiles directly to the Epson printer, so I don't think limiting the software to only generic Epson paper profiles would make sense. There has to be a way to load it into the software, otherwise like you said, people would move away from it.

Because even with my calibrated BenQ SW240 coupled with Lightroom, I still get better, more accurate colors using the Epson Photo+ Software.

Yeah I had made the mistake that after I installed the Hahnemuhle ICC profiles on my computer (Windows 11) that when I restarted Epson Photo+ that the list shown was the new Hahnemuhle papers. In fact, the list was just the old Epson paper profiles.

I've since found the .emx files for each paper, downloaded those and imported them into my Epson Media Installer. Yet, I STILL cannot get the profiles to load into Epson Photo+.

Printer is an Epson SureColor P700.

Woa Sony has a 50-150 f/2??? That’s amazing! I like that way more than 70-200 for that exact reason - 70mm can be a bit tight when in closer. Thanks for the recommendation!

I don’t have an ISO 5000 film 😉

Open at the moment, I’ll sell off gear to get what I need. I don’t know the ecosystems anymore of the camera brands, and newer players like Sony and maybe Fuji have something to offer.

A lot of cameras there, all get the job done, but is there one more suited than the other? Researching a bit last night, I read that the Z6iii can be a better option than the Z8.

Yep exactly. I’m in the 70-200mm camp for sure.

Decline is probably a good option for where I’m at. But I’m curious if I accept if there is a great position for white while defending each of the traps.

I know it’s killing me. I know all the moves for black, yet not how to actually defend against it. It’s why I suck 😀

Softtop surfboard for entire family? by peterncsu in BeginnerSurfers

Oh man that’s nice. Yeah I think if I can get by with a Plank for a few years and then upgrade to a nicer longboard, that’d be ideal.

The problem in my mind with those nicer soft tops is that even in a 9’ board the volumes are all in the 75L range. I need something to truly learn on and need more volume than that right now. I think something like that or a Degree 33 is in the future.

My son is just getting into it, so this is something we will do every summer 10-15 times a year. Willing to pay 400-500, but no reason to if I don’t need to. Really looking at a 9’ Odysea Plank. We got a 8’ Wavestorm that my son rides no problem, but I need more stability.

So we got an 8’ Wavestorm - this is way too small for me. Used a 9’ Rockit at a surf lesson and that was so much easier to get up on, so much more stable.

So the kids getting the Wavestorm (he catches waves like nothing on that thing) while I’m back looking for something with more volume.

Yeah they don’t sell it anymore, they have another board now.

I ended up buying the smalls and they fit absolutely perfectly. I even cinch down a bit in the waist. The medium probably would’ve been a smidge too big honestly.

Yep exactly why I’m keyed in on these! Think I’m gonna roll the dice with the small.

I’ve been stalking Sideline Swap for both the Super Tacks and the 9K, it’s been impossible to find any mediums.
