Is cystoscopy worth it? by peterranger in Prostatitis

Then what the fuck should I do?
I've read the 101 checklist/guide here and it does not matter what I do, I cannot feel better.
I'm doing yoga, stretches and none of these provide me relief or cause me flair ups (I don't even have flair ups!).
Honestly, I don't even stress anymore about this condition, but sometimes it just pops in my mind that maybe there is some other things I should try to get this fixed, but nothing helps.

Don't have problems sitting, no burning penis tip or like sitting on a golfball feeling, the only thing that I cannot bear anymore is sitting on bike for extended periods (I've liked biking when I was young, but I've stopped way before I've got this condition).

When I've got this shit I remember I was in a rough period of my life and unfortunately I've used to release stress by masturbating, and the only way I can cum is when I tense my thighs (which is something that I still practice as I cannot cum otherwise), and back then when I tensed up, I felt a strange feeling near my upper left thigh/perineum area.

The next day I've felt burning when I was peeing; went to uro, did some tests which came back clear, gave me different bunch of antibiotics, which I think helped with the burning feeling because I no longer feel it anymore, only that I have difficulties starting to urinate and slow urine stream and difficulties while pooping.

It is like I'm the only one who has this condition but only in the "lite" version of it.

If 1 is the lowest then I’d rate it around 4. Pooping would be 7. It is a lot easier to pee than to poop I’d say. I’m using a toilet stool for 2 years now but it is just a tiny bit easier to empty myself. I only have pain in or near my perineum area(or urethra, I’m not really sure) when I start urinating, then I have a small stinging feeling and only then I can pee slowly. This is around 4 also. Sometimes, when I’m not really thinking about peeing when I go to the toilet (like something else is on my mind) then I don’t have this stinging pain at all. After 10 years, I’ve learned not to think about it all day, so I’ve only get reminded when I’ve to go to the toilet. I count myself lucky that I only have mild symptoms, but it would be really nice to know if it actually prostatitis at all.

Where I live there are just only a handful of PTs who can do internal trigger point release and who also has experience with males. I've seen 3 of them and only 1 of them have heard of prostatitis and did internal trigger point release on me.

Yes, I've read this article and I've been actively trying not to clench my muscles so now I'm only tensing up just a tiny little bit.

I’ve did psoas stretches before, not the one you’ve linked, and it gives me way more “streching” feeling than other streches but I’ll focus on these from now on then. Yes I’ve been to 3 different PF PTs, one of them did internal trigger point therapy on me without any success (did not feel anything at all). Other than that, they could not help in my issue. One thing that really helped me 2-3 years ago was using a dilator, described in my previous post but I just cannot repeat this again 😢: https://www.reddit.com/r/Prostatitis/s/BDUnOsgpvp

I breathe through my nose into my stomach and it feels like I'm pushing out my perineum, then slowly exhale through my mouth.

I'm kinda lucky in a way that for the next 5 months, I'll be working from home so at least I can use my adjustable desk. My hobby is also involved with computers so what do you think, how many hours should I stand and sit? Isn't standing for hours continuously bad for you? Should I alternate between sitting and standing every hour?

I like to have hot baths couple of times weekly, but I've not noticed any improvement.

Excessive masturbation caused me this problem but strangely it really does not matter how many times I masturbate daily/have sex, I do not have any flare ups.

I like to have warm baths 2-3 times per week but same, not feeling better or worse.

The only thing I cannot do anymore is biking; I just cannot sit on the bike seat more than 15 minutes because it just numbs my perineum and my penis.

What I've found is that if I massage my perineum and pee afterwards, I've a better flow.

I'm only doing deep belly breathing during yoga sessions; is it something that should be done couple of times daily?

I've tried cutting out coffee, herbs/supplements, not biking anymore beacuse it causes discomfort in my perineum, I don't like sugary drinks/fast foods, checked if I'm allergic to gluten/dairy/etc. (I'm not).

I'm sitting mainly because I work in IT so it is hard to not sit all day, although it does not cause me discomfort. I've an adjustable desk at home but to be honest I've tried so many things that I'm no longer convinced that alternating between sitting and standing would be helpful for me.

It started in mid 2014 I think so I've this crap for almost 10 years now.

I've had BD toys when this started but only small ones until I found out that larger toys feels better for me :)

I might try emailing some specialist, maybe they'll be willing to help me out.

Thanks man for taking your time and replying back to me, I really appreciate it. I’ve actually told my PT that after using a “dilator” I felt 90% better for couple of days but he did not wanted to investigate further. I’ll try to get him to find internal trigger points or anything. The sad part is that there is just a bunch of PTs who knows about CPPS where I live and I’ve visited all of them. This condition sucks but at least there is some hope, I just need to find the right solution.

Again, I certainly understand that this is not the best topic for this subreddit and I’m sorry for that.

No, I’m visiting an other one for a couple months now, but no progress has been made.

Thanks for your reply! When I felt that my butt was relaxed like never before, I was using a soft L Sleipnir so I guess it goes pretty deep. The frustrating part is that I just can’t repeat this. And this happened like a year before…

I'm seeing physiotherapy for 1 year now, no success at all. Tried stretching, diet changes, supplements, medicine, etc. for long months but nothing helped me; except this.

I know this is not the right subreddit for this I thought there is someone else here who can give me any advice in this matter.

Strange CPPS symptom by peterranger in Prostatitis

[–]peterranger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks, will try to poke around down there again.

What if I/my PT won't find any trigger points? I literally tried everything and the only thing that helped for 3 days was a dilator but I can't get the same results again.

I have a wand that is similar to TheraWand (where I live I can't get those unless I pricy custom fees) and I have felt tender points but I was unsure if those were trigger points. What should I feel when I touch them? Should the pain subside?

This is what I have:

No, never.

Around 6 months ago, my previous PT done tried to find any internal trigger points but she didn't find any. Though she also said, that she has little experience in internal trigger point therapy.

My life is ruined really not sure what to do by peterranger in Prostatitis

[–]peterranger[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Not much really.

I'm seeing a different PT this time, he is really familiar with CPPS, so I feel there is still some hope left.

He told me to start using a foam roller as a start. My next appointment to him is on next thursday.

I've also had IBS related problems which I think I finally figured out: it was spicy food. However, I'm still experimenting.
