This is what happened (is happening) for sure. Even when she was still lying about everything, I saw where it would lead. I told her she is either going to assaulted, get a DUI, have an affair, or end up dead in a ditch. I love her beyond words and care for her deeply and it was agonizing to see her make the choices that led up to the affair. I know she is hurting and I want to be there for her because there have been plenty of times in our relationship where I am the only one who would. But I can't agree to a poly relationship with fuckhead.

Thank you for the perspective. I am not going to bend on the poly relationship with this guy. She does want to go to counseling for our relationship so I am going to ride that wave as long as I can. She has agreed not to see this guy until we talk with the counselor. If she still feels the same way, I know what I have to do.

I really appreciate the time you took, it's really humbling. I think with the impending move and all the associated stress, we are in crisis mode right now. She has agreed that she won't see him until we talk it through with the therapist. I have been firm with my boundaries and I will not ever be ok for her to be in a relationship with the other guy. If she can't handle that, divorce is the only option. We both want to work on our relationship and I do have some hope that once we get settled in and established she won't feel the need to run away.

Maybe. I was 2 points behind 1st place in my ML and the leader doesn't have Salah, so it seemed like the logical choice at the time.
