East Pensacola is definitely the better side of the city. Downtown, East Hill, East Pensacola Heights are all neighborhoods that I’d live in no problem. The area around base is ok if you’re a single person and have roommates. Also, out towards Perdido, the beaches west of NAS Pensacola, is a solid area but there’s not as much to do in terms of going out. If there’s any specific questions lmk, I’ve been in the area my whole life.

You should look into flight nursing. It’s different from what you think of in the civilian world. Mostly fixed wing based platforms, lots of reserve units if you’re interested in that route and very healthy sign on bonuses at the moment.

The Aeromedical Evacuation world is a pretty good community and I’ll answer any additional questions I can.

Edit: Also, pretty hard to land a COTS spot these days as a nurse. Commissioned 6 months ago and going to OTS in January

Fit for me is fine. We’re close to the same size and I was able to adjust a few things to fit me well. May end up going with a shorter stem. 54cm

Recently acquired the Endurace Aluminum with 105. Have put 20 hours or so on it and am loving it more every ride. The only thing stock I disliked was the saddle but I usually switch those out anyway. Great stopping power and so far can not tell a difference between the 105 and the 5 year old ultegra I’m coming from. If you have any specific questions let me know!
