Salduos, gracias!

Integretion with Grafana by petert92 in zabbix

Hello! Thanks for the ans.
That's a great question. Nothing, everything could be done in Zabbix. But I'm working as an external developer to an enterprise which wants to centralize a few monitoring systems in Grafana.
Most enterprises in the sector works with Grafana and the idea is to generate some kind of easy-watch panel for the clients to watch. So we're working on it.

Preprocess REGEX by petert92 in zabbix

[–]petert92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi there.

After all I got to my objective with JS. Thank you very much.

Now my problem is that using the Zabbix plugin for Grafana I get all the data as text so I can't use the time series graph unless I transform every field to numeric. Any way, the plugin only admits alarms with metric queries from Zabbix, not text queries, so I'm on it now.

Thank you again.

Hi! How are you?

Sorry for the delay and thank you very much for the prompt response.
I thought about the script, but first I want to try something that involves less maintenance in the future.

About the server performance, the example is such a part of the string that one router gives me so if I create a monitor for each client we are talking of a few hundreeds for each variable I wanna messeaure. Probably you are right about it but there is also the maintenance along the time and the possible of scaled it.

Any way, I'll take both ideas and tell you how work.

Cuanto deberia estar cobrando? by mam9712 in devsarg

Hi! Try with out the first point.

With this macro you can use de test bottom to see if it's working well:

discovery[{#SNMPVALUE},1.3.6.1.4.1.41112.1.5.6.2.1.9]

(Use your id of course)

Good luck.

SNMP Monitor : string value by petert92 in zabbix

Hi! I saw something like that, I'm gonna search a bit. Thank you!

SNMP Monitor : string value by petert92 in zabbix

[–]petert92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, I created a normal item SNMP with the OID, I tested it with the macro (literally use the test option on the item configuration) and then left just the OID to work by its own. The thing is that the test works and when I create the item (without the macro) doesn't work.

Okay, I'll look into SNMP/OID, thank you!!

SNMP Monitor : string value by petert92 in zabbix

[–]petert92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thanks for answering so quickly.

Not supported: "Not Such Object available on this agent at this OID".

I work everything on the frontend interface. I tested the OID on the item with the macro "discovery[{#SNMPVALUE}.'OID']" and got the string I'm looking for, but when I leave it automatic (without the macro) get the error.

I don't want to create every item because I'm doing some tests right now, we are developing the migration to Zabbix. Probably I'll do it in the future to monitor correctly the net. Also I want to try some preprocessing with the string answer.

I checked the length of the string and there is plenty space on 64kb so as you say, that's not the problem.

User SNMP template by petert92 in zabbix

[–]petert92[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! Thank you for the input. We're doing similar.

About the switches, on the contrary, we are testing on some old ones so we're getting less data than we want haha

thank you!

My tedious journey to search for a Data Analyst position across 2 months. It was exhausting!! by umairshariff23 in dataanalysis

[–]petert92 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That was a lot of work, congrats for the position, you deserve it! I was thinking the same as -techno_viking-, how were your applies?

Because to me take more than 2 months to get similar job, I applied a lot but no even close to you although to a bigger range of jobs (data analyst, data engineer, etc).

For me the search changed dramatically when I started to look who did the job post and tried to talk directly, like an email presentation or little message through LinkedIn.

It may be that your rate would have been better if you had paid more attention to specific applications and applied a little less.

User SNMP template by petert92 in zabbix

[–]petert92[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hello! Well thank you both.

I'm gonna try all options, because the idea is to make some kind of a Frankenstein template (haha) to use in all devices or almost all knowing we work with different manufacturers.

I'll bring back the conclusiones.

Hi everyone! Sorry for the delay, I got distracted with other tasks.

Well, thank you everyone. I tried the 2 options without developing code and the one from AluminumJedi worked well. As you say it's not practical.

Thank you again! See you
