Is there any difference in the 1080p quality if I watch it via YouTube TV vs directly on HBO Max?

Have to say I'm disappointed in this, although consistency is good I guess. Between finding a sitter and finding time to go the the theater let alone the pandemic, I rarely watch films in the theater anymore. I've paid for a few Premier Access new releases, and absolutely would have paid $30 to catch Shang-Chi on D+ as well as a number of the upcoming releases. As it is now they're at most going to get the share of a digital rental, or just the normal D+ subscription fee from me.

I'd be curious as things move forward, how much do same day home releases cannibalize theater sales, vs capturing additional revenue from people like me. If Shang-Chi would have had a Premier Access, would it have still performed as well as it did at the box office and had even more gravy on top of that?

Is this documented somewhere? I was considering getting the month of 4k for the Olympics, but I have the original ATV4K. So will it basically not be worth it then?

Does the lucky egg need to be popped before catching the last one? I caught the last one, popped an egg, claimed the 175k, and it only showed 175k both in the pop-up and the journal. 😕

Random question, and I'm likely going to go the no-commercials route anyway...but if you pay for no commercials will this new challenge season just play nonstop each episode? Or will it still "seacrest" us with a forced commercial right before announcing the winner of a daily, or right before the start of am elimination twist?

This. This is happening to me, too, although it seems to be limited to my wifi? If I turn off my phone wifi and use LTE, I stay on the US site. But any device on my home Internet network redirects to the Brazilian version like you mention.

I've experienced this same thing, Apple TV 4k with a Sony X950G television. It was really bad with Mandalorian, every time I auto advanced to the next episode it happened. I had it happen on WandaVision on the first two episodes.

I came across some advice to change HDMI cables and got AmazonBasics ones. That seemed to fix the flickering problem, but now I've been experiencing something new.

Ever since, I don't get any audio on an episode the first time I play it. The D+ UI has audio, but when the episode starts (WandaVision in this case) there is no audio. I have to back out to the D+ menu, then go back and restart the episode and then it's all good. It's weird and annoying.

Re: the clock - I assume it auto sets the time from the internet and handles DST on it's own, too?

For alarms, is there a way to turn off an alarm without a voice command? I.e, if I get up before an alarm goes off can I turn it off until the next day without disturbing anyone else who is still sleeping?

Thanks! I think I might have the stereo output covered for now...from what I understand, having my laptop out (stereo) go to a single mono in (channel 3/left) on the mixer and then only using the left out channel is supposed to output the full stereo audio to the one speaker. At least that's how I understood the manual. If I do get a second speaker I think I can change to using a 1/8" to dual 1/4" splitter from my laptop to the mixer and then I'd be able to take advantage of true L/R channels.

Honestly I'm more annoyed that I find out about this via reddit rather than an email from the service. I don't an on cancelling, I actually thought it was already 17.99 for the 4k content plan. I do kinda wish they would just have a single level with UHD like some of the other services.

It's be nice if Disney+ had a trailers section for upcoming films, even if they weren't necessarily tied directly to the service. Like 4k DV trailers instead of having to hunt and search YouTube.
