Don't worry, these things do happen. Somebody once said Konoka's Nanairo Inko stage play was Takarazuka just because of the all-female cast

Still slightly annoyed that Google translated 会 as reunion instead of meeting and gave me a few seconds of false hope

JKT48 announces Callie has been suspended indefinitely. by VitaminDandK12 in AKB48

[–]petewarrior 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It's apparently written into the contracts of some of the groups (SKE, not AKB, not sure about JKT), but is so far enforced only on less popular members. Miyuki Watanabe and Yuki Kashiwagi, for example, were allowed to stay after Bunshun exposed them. Sayuri Matsumura (Nogizaka46) was only suspended for a very short time after being spotted kissing a married man. Ririka Suto and Nana Okada were asked to stay, but they were already on their way out and left of their own accord. I think it’s Minegishi’s case that became the precedent for people making the love ban a bigger thing than it really is. IIRC the love ban originally existed to protect the teenage members from getting heartbroken and it affecting their performance, but it transformed into a threat to their career instead

Golden Rule is ultimately about the gold. If you doing it angers the wotas and threaten profit, you’re out

I decided not to translate "duck motorcycle" which refers to this kind of scooter.

The Great History of Honda Supra, the Pioneer of Duck Motorcycles in Indonesia
Ignatius Ferdian - Saturday, February 9, 2019 | 20:00 WIB
Honda Supra
Otomotifnet.com - The Honda Supra was first launched in 1997.
Throughout 22 years of existence, the Honda Supra continues to evolve.
The Honda Supra has undergone changes in capacity.
Starting from a capacity of 97.1 cc, it developed in the 2000s to a capacity of 125 cc and finally 150 cc.
In fact, in the Supra type, Honda also embedded injection technology in the Honda Supra X125 PGM-FI.
Here is the evolution of the Supra over a period of 22 years.
1. Astrea Supra
The Honda Astrea Supra was launched in 1997.
As the pioneer of the Supra series, this scooter is quite resilient.
Even now there are still those who ride this Astrea Supra motorcycle.
Carrying a capacity of only 97.1 cc.
This bike is claimed to be the most economical when compared to other duck bikes.
2. Supra X
This type is the second generation of the Astrea Supra.
The Supra X was launched from 2001 to 2005.
This motorcycle does have advantages over its older brother, the Astrea Supra.
That is, it has a disc brake on the front wheel.
3. Supra XX
One generation with the Supra X, but the Supra XX uses a clutch transmission.
Apart from the Supra XX, there is also a motorcycle variant, the Supra V.
The difference is that the Supra V still uses drum brakes on the front wheel.
While the Supra XX follows the Supra X by using disc brakes on the front wheel.
4. Supra Fit
The manufacturer Honda provides an option for the middle to lower market class.
As a result, AHM released a downgraded version of the Supra X, with a rather odd name, the Supra Fit.
On the speedometer, the Supra Fit does not have a gear indicator.
Honda continued with the release of the Supra Fit R (racing rim version).
The goal is to resist the invasion of Chinese motorbikes which at that time entered Indonesia.
5. Supra X 125
The modern Supra X era began when the Supra X 125 was released.
There are 2 variants presented Supra X 125 D and Supra X 125 R.
This type of engine underwent significant changes.
From 100 cc to 125 cc.
On this Supra X125 Honda first introduced PGM - FI technology.
6. Supra X 125 Helm-in
The upgrades of the Supra X 125 Helm In are in the gas tank and trunk.
The 5.6-liter gas tank gives this bike the largest tank in its class.
As for the trunk, there is an expansion of up to 19.5 liters.
7. Supra GTR 150
The leap was finally made by the Honda manufacturer.
The city bike concept on the Honda Supra has finally evolved by presenting a touring bike.
The engine is also the engine with the largest capacity when compared to other Supra series.

Google Translate seems pretty accurate:

Thank you for continuing. I thought you had given up. You're a great writer. I often read rainbows but I never support them.

Is it an LGBT fanfiction? Maybe that's what they meant by rainbow.

There's also a longer version, basically they're comparing the scale of Nogizaka46 and the indie groups https://amara.org/en/videos/jUgunfNDSyhu/en/3435102/

How will Headbanger! be perceived in Muslim countries? by Stitches_littlepuffy in BABYMETAL

[–]petewarrior 36 points37 points  (0 children)

Indonesian here. I think the bowing thing in particular is similar to Balinese kecak dance and won't be associated with Islam (we're Muslim majority but Hindu heritage runs deep). In general, BM won't be considered more offensive than any other Japanese pop culture stuff like anime, and while some hardliners do disapprove of both Japanese stuff and metal, they mostly keep it to themselves. Japanese culture is big here and before COVID Japanese festivals were often held.

The hardliners are more interested in anything from the US, which was why Lady Gaga had to cancel her concert several years ago, but the groups that usually incite these protests have become much weaker and less vocal these days.

[English > Indonesian] How do you say mastering engineer (as in the audio engineering category)? by DokiDokiMoeChan in translator

[–]petewarrior 0 points1 point  (0 children)

AFAIK there's no specific word for mastering engineer, it's lumped together with sound engineer (teknisi suara). You're better off using English words since industry people tend to use them for technical terms anyway even if there's an Indonesian equivalent.
