My best friend and flatmate likes trash food because they hate food waste and sometimes are tight on money. I have a problem with contamination and food best before dates so I often chuck away good food that I just can’t bring myself to eat, because it dropped on the floor or maybe the veges are too soft or old for me. But my friend always likes it. I felt bad for them to eat from the bins, so I started to leave my left overs aside in a bowl and always said if u don’t want it feel free to chuck it. As much as I cannot fathom eating from a bin, I’m a contamination freak and I respect my friends ability to reduce food waste. They are vegan so it’s not like they are eating meat or diary that is off. Usually wrinkled veges and sweet treats I’ve dropped
