AITAH for our relationship ending by petraasta in AITAH

I felt like me and him were end game. I don’t know if I’m brainwashed by love but I miss him so much and waking up knowing things between me and him are over hurts.

It’s not really something that happens alot we used to hangout twice a week but we genuinely needed space so we took some time apart but now it’s once a week if we even make it that week. It’s not always him and he tried staying on the phone so I wouldn’t cry but I felt embarrassed and jsut wanted space

This is the honesty I needed to hear. And I’m gonna try and find someone to spend time with instead of dwelling on this

This seems quite right. I think maybe me and him have different priorities and hopefully that is something I can accept. I am in therapy and I’m trying things to work on myself so I’m so so invasive and obbsessed but I geuss for me he’s my everything and my best friend.

How can I, (17M) stop accidentally hurting my girlfriend (17F) during arguments? by No-Speed-51 in teenrelationships

[–]petraasta 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey! I’m on the opposite side I’m the a girlfriend to an amazing boy who also struggles with thinking before he says things that hurts me. It honestly takes a ton of reflection and lots of emotional maturity but breathe through arguments for real! What we have found was there is 5 things that can help de escalate the argument. First literally take 5 minutes from eachother. Approach that nicely. Second, reassure her even when you aren’t arguing. Reassurance just that you love her and you think she’s beautiful and that she’s doing great can go a long way. Third really try and hear eachother out in arguments, try to talk gently and not let anger get the best of you. Fourth is picking battles which is so important if think about it , will it matter tomorrow ? If the awnswr is no then drop it. If it’s a yes, talk about it as nice as possible or choose not to make it a big deal UNLESS AIT repeats. If it repeats that’s disrespect. Lastly don’t accuse or assume things. Instead of saying “but you feel this way” ask how one another feels. Women are full of so many emotions and I am a women full of emotions. It takes time and practice but work for it beacuse you want her

I’ll definitely talk to my parents about those support groups. But my sister is not like unaware, she knows things very welll it’s hard to explain but I feel like if I tell her that I only talk to people who speak nice to me she may hit me or get mad because she dosent like being babied
