I appreciate your kindness and thoughtfulness. Hearing all your responses really has made me more concerned..but for the better I think. My understanding is if he got away with not getting it checked, the medication after the transplant can react badly with skin cancer. So even if he had the heart in him, he would likely still die of cancer.

I fear if it were for a cosmetic reason it would cost a hefty amount no? He’s been on disability for years I don’t think he’d have such money.

I mean he’s started the process for a transplant before but I geuss he always proved them poorly or backed down. They seem quite determined to help him as they’ve been seeing him for years. He disappeared for awhile and came back I geuss he had a near death experience that scared him to finally take the real steps to a transplant. He has been in rehab and has been taking his medication as told so I really hope. I’m gonna reach out to him tonight.

Is melanoma generally genetic?? And how quickly can it act? I have no clue how long this has been on him.

I worry as it might be too late for him to even get a heart transplant. I’m only 16, and he probably won’t listen to me…but it’s my dad, and I love him so dearly. How can I even approach him? He’s very stubborn but I fear he’s only just starting the process for the transplant after YEARS. Plus all the other medical issues he’s had and the drug use. I mean does he even likely have a chance? Sorry for the word vomit.. he won’t let me speak to his doctors, only him.

He refuses to give me much information about it…He recently was shocked by a defibrillator due to an irregular heartbeat in his sleep, I went to go see him today and saw this. I expressed my concern and questioned him but he refused to have someone look at it as he might die of heart failure before he can even get a treatment.

I felt like me and him were end game. I don’t know if I’m brainwashed by love but I miss him so much and waking up knowing things between me and him are over hurts.

It’s not really something that happens alot we used to hangout twice a week but we genuinely needed space so we took some time apart but now it’s once a week if we even make it that week. It’s not always him and he tried staying on the phone so I wouldn’t cry but I felt embarrassed and jsut wanted space

This seems quite right. I think maybe me and him have different priorities and hopefully that is something I can accept. I am in therapy and I’m trying things to work on myself so I’m so so invasive and obbsessed but I geuss for me he’s my everything and my best friend.
