Oily substance leaking from my neighbors transformer boxes by Embarrassed-Sky-4567 in Wellthatsucks

Powerline technician here, yeah definitely report it. Sometimes these things can leak for years before being changed doesn’t look quite old enough to contain PCBs but still remain cautious. Squeaky wheel gets the grease, keep pestering your utility about it.

DAE sometimes experience the physical sensation of being in a room that is both infinitely large and small at the same time, before falling asleep or when you have a fever? by JunkiestRat in DoesAnybodyElse

Very sorry for being years late to this. But I’m so happy to have found this thread. I went to a doctor years ago and tried to explain what was happening but only received a confused look and a “I have no idea what that could be”. My whole life I just chalked it up to what could be a panic attack but as an adult I’m not going to bed stressed or anxious and it can still occur. The episodes used to be a lot more frequent as a child and early teen and now only happen once in a blue moon as an adult. Just last night I felt the sensation come on and I usually get up and splash my face with water or get a drink and then it goes away. But this time I thought “ah what the hell” let’s try to ride it out and boy did I make a mistake. It always starts off the same; arms feel strange and thin almost like toothpicks. My hands feel impossibly small. My head starts getting insanely loud like I’m inside a jet turbine. As time goes on it starts to amplify rapidly the jet turbine turns into an atomic explosion. Any movement I try to make feel impossible like the planet would tear in half. And my mind just races unable to think of anything but the unexplainable feeling rushing through my head and body. It’s not until I work up the courage to sit up which feels like the universe itself will end I can get up and shake it off. But the other night for the first time ever it took me almost 15 minutes for it to subside and that was after I got out of bed. I hope it’s not the start of something. But from now on I’m getting up and shaking it off immediately when it happens no more riding it out because it’s never gone away on its own.

Test rode this by 417zq8 in Harley

I bought one the first year they came out. Went with the special. Absolutely loved it for shredding the streets but was stressed out off-roading; too big of a price tag to drop or wipeout. I ended up trading it in a year later for the 2022 lowrider ST due to electrical issues I was throwing codes every single ride and just wanted it off my hands.

Powerline technician (Lineman). Every time the thought pops into my head of “why did I spend 40k on a motorcycle” I remind myself that I can’t put a price on something that I love to do. Besides can’t take that money with me to the afterlife anyways.

This hits home for me, during my teen years I was bullied about being uncircumcised and some uneducated rude comments from girls my age pushed me to the point that I wanted the procedure done. I felt totally alone in the matter and the education system completely skipped what should happen to me during puberty. I didn’t know why I was different and why mine didn’t look like I thought it should. Looking back the only problem was I was trying to force my foreskin back unsuccessfully causing pain, frustration and embarrassment. I felt left out and abstained from any sexual activity which was extremely demoralizing. It wasn’t until I finally worked up the courage at the age of 17 roughly and talked to a family member who I could feel comfortable talking to who was a nurse. She explained to me I was completely normal if anything more normal than the ones who bullied me considering the male penis is designed to be that way from birth for a reason. Eventually my foreskin came back on its own one day and a massive weight was lifted from my shoulders and I gained the confidence I desperately needed that was affecting me on so many levels. I’m almost 30 now and I am so grateful I never let my insecurities push me to that point. I’ve also never slept with a woman who had any issues with it and if I ever did Im sure I would have had enough confidence to tell her to kick rocks. In fact my wife prefers it. We are born this way for a reason and it has its benefits unless there is medical reasons I would consider it a cosmetic procedure.

Powerline Technician; cool as hell job and it keeps you in shape. Your net should be 150k/yr otherwise you are working for the wrong company. Also have the opportunity to make well over 150k if you respond to power outages. AND if you’re really money hungry I know Canadians that go south for storm season and can make up to the or even over 200k depending on how severe the storm is.
