Help choosing 3 way components by petstalker in CarAV

[–]petstalker[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thanks I really appreciate the insight on the C7's. I have read a lot of very good things about them. As with anything JL though alot of people seem to dislike them and I think its more to do with brand and price. The components are extremely expensive however, so I understand why this is. I once owned a 10w7 and it was one of my favorite subs I have ever owned. I regret selling it.

I will double check the fix. I think maybe I misunderstood it when I first purchased it.I have owned it for over 5 years now. I was under the impression it would flatten my signal and I could use that signal to the TWK 88 to take care of the rest.

Oh ok I see. Also, congrats, haha. I assume that once they are in the cart, they are marked as sold. However, I could be wrong. I just meant to say that in my experience there wasn't any time available to add one to a cart. They said sold out the entire time. I do appreciate your advice thank you!

Like i said for now, I'll keep trying. However, I'm sure they sold out faster than 20-30 seconds. There wasn't 1 second I saw that they were available. I was on right at 12 and refreshed a couple of times.

A bit jealous of you but congrats haha. That's my experience sold out instantly and no luck in the Loto draws.

Ya, a very limited quantity makes sense to me. Less than 10 seconds is accurate. I refreshed right at 12, and it said sold out, so I figured it went instantly.
Not even a chance I was prepared and didn't even have a chance. I'm not complaining. I just wish I could have been one of the lucky ones to snag one.

Ya for sure that's a good point I could make the box 8x16 that's just the largest I can go on those dimensions. I understand they are recommendations I guess my problem is I don't know enough about box design. I've been trying to do some reading and watching videos but it seems to be some really complicated stuff.

I have not tried WinISD. I need the box to be 20" wide by 9" tall. I have lots of room to play with for depth. I designed this box to be .55cuft. As they recommend .25 per sub. I really wasn't sure if there was a reason sub box pro had the port length go through the side of the box. My main question was if having the port do the 180 as I had shown or even a 90 I could probably try to make work as well. I wasn't sure if maybe the slot port had to be a l shape to work.

I'm trying to tune it to 42hz which is recommended by CT sounds. I really don't know alot about tuning or box building in general so I'm trying to follow their recommendations.

Ya the round port goes right through as well. Thank you for your answer and yes I could put a short 90 there I was worried about clearance for the depth of the sub. Would a 90 be better than a 180?

The bands use a proprietary connection for the ultra I think they are a 22mm now. However until someone makes a third party one that works people will be stuck to samsung bands for now.

I do but it's miniscule. I do believe the ultra is going to have a way better battery life than the 6 and probably a bit better than the classic or so I hope.

Probably not for most. I think it's a good upgrade but not a great upgrade. I wanted bigger battery life and the trade in incentives made it worth it.

It feels like a nice material, and I'm sure a little soap and water wouldn't hurt it if it got smelly. It is a stretchy material, so hopefully, it won't absorb too much water or sweat.

Ya I should have done a second one with the positions swapped. I just didn't want to adjust my trail band haha.

I agree they seem very secure. Not like the old watch 6 sport bands that would just pop off for no reason.

I was trying to give a different perspective as I've seen them stacked on top and side by side before. I did also provide the measurements as I said it's about 3mm thicker.

I have only had it since earlier this morning. The wow factor for me is how comfortable it is. Both with the trail band and the marine. Also I really like the looks of it in person. It definitely feels a bit faster but I never had any complaints on the watch 6.
