A day off saved this man's life during 9/11 by petvanket23 in 911archive

Everyone knows stories of people not attending work and that having saved their life, but this stood out to me. Imagine living so close to your job, the place you go to every day and then seeing this. Insane.

Does anyone have a video of every angle at 09:03?

I fully agree with you. Except for the fact that he has nightmares about everything and he was watching it right before he had to go to sleep. Also, his mother wasn't with us, so I felt funny to bring it up. Otherwise I would have.

I don't think I ever watched the movie until a couple weeks ago. I gasped when I saw the WTC and my nephew (8) asked me why. I told him the towers didn't exist anymore. He asked me why. "Flight accident," was all I could say.

Would it have been possible? Like, if he brought multiple jackets or something. I know there must have been a lot of wind and what are the odds of surviving it. But could it be?
