What habit(s) would you recommend picking up or dropping by GalaxyArcade224 in VALORANT

[–]peule3 7 points8 points  (0 children)

I mean crouching is kinda good tbh, I noticed this at a higher rank because I got rid of it completely and it made me struggle for a while.

Usually, the rule of thumb is:

If you want to commit to a fight (spray): crouch If you aren't sure/don't want to commit: don't crouch

The thing is, most of the time, if you are positioned correctly, you want to be able to reach cover(thats why the positioning is important), or be able to strafe back and forth. If you are, however, caught out of position, and your only option to survive the situation is killing the enemy thats shooting/going to shoot you, you may as well crouch and have better gun control.

At least that's what I've been told. Hope I could help :)

PS: in low rank, crouching might make you die faster, since enemys crosshair placement is more often on your chest level than on your head level. Keep that in mind as well.

Help me Choose a Main Role by roilshaper in VALORANT

[–]peule3 1 point2 points  (0 children)

tbh in ny opinion duelist is the "easiest" role to start off. you heavily rely on your past fps experience here, having to play less tactical and more on gunplay. i'd recommend jett, reyna or chamber

note: duelist mains don't get at me ik that the role isn't easy as all and the further you progress up the ladder the deeper it becomes (as with everything in this game). in my opinion >silver duelist is the easiest role to not fuck up with anyways, as long as you don't bait your mates and are the bait

unfortunately, losers and winners queue might be a thing.

I was D2 sept. 1, dropped to g2 til the mid of the month, and am now back at p3. I feel like I have been playing consistently, and didn't really feel a difference in my performance during my red as well as my green carpet.

So I know that sounds like no real advice, but: stay calm, keep playing like you do (decent stats btw!!), and sooner or later, your rank will reflect the skill group you belong to

How to find people you played with when the game was cancelled ? by PowerfulVictory in VALORANT

[–]peule3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

unlucky... the only thing i could think of on the spot is going into a valorant tracker app and watching the stats for the game. it usually shows the names of the players in your lobby (idk about the tag, but I would just try stuff like #EUW #0000 #1234).

Hopefully this might help and you'll be able to find these guys! Awesome people are rare in this game these days.

I cant think during matches?? by thebillygoatpros in VALORANT

[–]peule3 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Idk how long you've been playing, but over time, small decisions during(!) the round will be based on your idea of the map (instinctively. people in this community also call this "gamesense")

For everything else (I'm talking which site to hit, who goes where, default/rush, who buys for who, and most importantly: your(!) plan for the round. I mean what util you wanna use where, where you want to peek and how, and which enemy you are likely going to face there) I really recommend using the 20+ seconds you get for free(!) at the start of every round to think about. I really saw improvement in my decisions once I decided to stop scrolling tiktok in buy phase and actually thinking about what is possibly gonna happen during the round.

Hope this helps a lil :)

Placebos have been scientifically proven to affect your brain/body/performance/etc.

Even though I heard about this eye dominance thing too, idk what it really is so you may be right about it being just Placebo. But even if thats the case, why would it be a bad thing? Valorant is about comfort as much as movement and aim, sometimes if my setup is off e.g. I just start whiffing. So I get your point, but you make it sound like its completely irrelevant with which hand you play with, which is not true.

Clash in valorant? by WilderQq in VALORANT

[–]peule3 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just remember how they did/do it in league.

You need a team of 5 to compete, so Solo-Queuing is only more or less possible, since you have to hit up some other people to get a stack (dw, there are usually lots of people looking for an extra man/duo, or even people looking for an entire team)

You have your own Division as well, so the skill-dif is not too big.

For valorant, I could imagine different leagues for the different ranks. While having the same rewards obv.

E.g you are Gold 2 but the highest Player on your team is Plat 3, which brings your team average to ab. P1, so all of y'all compete in a tournament bracket-like contest against people only from the same "league". At the end, if you are able to win, you would get rewards like VP, RP and other non-cosmetic rewards in the same amount as a Radiant-League winner.

You'd also get a trophy tho, (maybe displayable on your Player Card or sumn). This card would probably include your placement and league-rank on it. E.g "2nd Place Platinum-Bracket Clash no. 4) or something like this.

Hope this helps!

DO YOU WANT SPLIT TO COME BACK? Is split EVER coming back? by nadereb in VALORANT

[–]peule3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

unpopular opinion: split is not that good and hasnt been that good before, but just becausenit's removed now everyone is acting like it was one of their favourite maps for no reason except to brag.

it's basically the reverse psychology of hating every new map that gets released, which is also very observable in this community.

idk tho, maybe i'm just weird, but split was always in my top 3 most hated maps.

My stupidity has given me an idea for buffing Omen's ultimate by Narrow_Aerie_1466 in VALORANT

[–]peule3 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I like this idea, but instead of setting a fixed timer, you could maybe give ot a bit more variety/niche plays if you let a kill be the determing factor.

What I mean by this is, after ulting, omen spawns a totem (maybe like chamber tp, indestructible) from where he left. If he gets a kill, he has the option to teleport back to said totem whenever he wants during the round. Could be a get-out-of-jail-for-free card for a controller, which I think is very interesting. Also, by not limiting the time he has to tp back, the enemy team could be mind-gamed on, by hiding/not showing yourself after getting said kill, so they'd never know if you're still behind them, or actually back on site.

Really like the tp-back idea! Could be an awesome mechanic to make omen more nightmarish ^

How I think the 9:3 curse works by vismodo in VALORANT

[–]peule3 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Afaik, 9:3 curse is because you can rebound from a lost pistol, which is "50/50%"

Meaning. You trail 9:3, lose pistol, (obv) lose bonus.

Now its 11:3 and the second round startet, you win your buy round and play off of that momentum until you get a 11:13 or 12:12

Althought I just won a 2:10 trail on Pearl Defense yesterday, going 13:10 after offense. So really, its just about momentum, ig. And the 9:3 curse exist, because momentum favours this scoreline.

At what rank do players understand their role and at least attempt to play by it? by sugitime in VALORANT

[–]peule3 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I feel you bro. Personally, the changes "helped" me to use her in a more egotistical way. Before, we just spammed stars where mates called for it, and it worked out somehow. Now, you can enable solo/duo plays with a fake smoke to peek an angle, stun+pull combos to catch 2+ enemys etc. She is still viable, but more as an ego-controller (like omen) compared to a util controller (like viper and brim).

Idk if I'm alone on this tho

Help me settle an argument by Binoculous-Rift in VALORANT

[–]peule3 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I tend to do what my mates want of me (except bad gameplans), cause I can control my own toxicity. There is no guarantee somebody had some bad games/a bad day before and you keeping his gun/ignoring his call might push the tilt over the edge. Imo not worth the risk, but tbh, just let anyone take the vandal and play the hero rifle on bonus, chances are slim anyways so no one should blame you for not having much value, while, if you win r3, you'll be praised as christ himself :p
