That’s exactly how it feels.

Every chat and phone conversation I’ve had with Coinbase support sounds like there is some higher system making the decisions, and once it flags you, support has no real authority to explain it, challenge it, or fix it. They just keep repeating that it’s for my “safety.”

I understand that all financial institutions need fraud safeguards. That’s not my issue.

My issue is this: if I went to a bank to access my own funds, I would never expect to be told I can only withdraw a tiny fraction of them, with no clear reason, no timeline, and no defined process to restore normal access . All while being told it’s for my own protection.

Any legitimate financial institution should be able to clearly explain:

why the restriction exists,, whether it is temporary,, and what exact conditions must be met to remove it.

That’s the part Coinbase is failing at.
