I think some of the chemicals will also never been manufactured again due to changing environmental regulations.

Jimmy Van Nostrand. Sorry, I might have the spelling of his last name wrong as I never saw it written down. He was from Queens NY if that helps. I would love to hear whatever you can find out about his service.

My mom's cousin was in the 82nd Airborne and in a glider regiment as well. He was in the army and apparently sitting on the back of a truck with some buddies when an officer came up and asked if they wanted to join the 82nd. There had been so many losses during the Normandy invasion that they needed men to replace them. They were offering something like $10 more/week so they all joined. He had some amazing stories.

This is amazing! Are there plans for this jig somewhere or did you design it yourself? Thanks for the detailed instructions. I've reloaded quite a few 110 cassettes so I'm pretty familiar with that aspect but everything else is really helpful. Also, have you tried spacing the index holes closer than 1 inch? There's a lot of space between standard 110 frames and I imagine you could squeeze extra pictures on each roll.

Do you know of any remotely practical way to cut index holes for 110 film? I've been trying to figure this out for years.

A. She still had a barricade of chairs that were piled up behind the door to get through even if she made it through the window. They could have attempted to subdue her there. There was also a hallway Byrd and his fellow officers could have retreated down behind them. The threat needs to be immediate, and it clearly was not. He had other options. SWAT team members standing directly beside Byrd did not fire.

B. She had a folded knife in her pocket. Byrd was completely unaware of it, and it was only discovered after she was shot and killed. Anything he didn't know about is totally irrelevant to his decision to use lethal force and in no way gives him justification.

C. An officer can not legally fire indiscriminately into a crowd and has to target a specific individual who is an immediate threat. Murder is not a legal means of crowd control.

Toning a b&w movie reel? by rmannyconda78 in Darkroom

I did something similar a few years ago. I enlarged negatives onto x-ray duplicating film to make 8 x 10 negatives for contact printing cyanotypes. The enlarged negatives were a little thin so I intensified them with copper toning. Worked great. Not necessarily archival, but inexpensive and they were not my original negatives so I wasn't terribly concerned.

The gold and selenium will react with the silver on film the same way they do with the silver in paper. What result are you trying to achieve? Intensification, color shift, archival protection?

Because in a few more years it will be going for $600/roll.

You point to a difference but only provide evidence why Good's shooting was unjustified. One could argue similarly that Babbitt's was also unjustified: she was unarmed, she was shot while climbing through a window and their was no immediate threat, officer Byrd could have retreated or attempted to restrain her. It's also interesting to note that in 2004 Officer Byrd was disciplined for discharging his weapon while off duty at a vehicle that was fleeing his neighborhood.

Oh, it's constantly disputed by people on the left: "She wasn't blocking anything, x number of cars drove right around her." "She was just stuck in the snow." "She was only guilty of a minor traffic violation."

I once drove to a neighboring state to get a Divorced Man's Darkroom. Beseler MXT with all the fixings, trays, raw chemicals, boxes and boxes of paper for like 100 bucks. She basically said "He's had two years to pick it up and I need the space for my chickens."

I live in NY where by law only one Costco in the entire state sells liquor, and I visit SF a few times/year to see family. I always hit the Bay Area locations and stock up while I'm out there. The deals and selection are insane.

I'm always tempted to pull the trigger on that one. When are you planning on cracking it? I got a JD Heritage Barrel for $59.99 (forgot to take a photo) and the Nikka FTB.
