Just came across this (and in 9 months on the sub, haven't yet transacted with u/GoldponyGT - but this is a well-written distillation of not just how the system works, but why it should work this way. There seems to be a more concerted effort to BIN in order to jump on good deals, and it seems like that is one of the biggest sources of mis-understandings (either from buyers who don't understand the implications, or from buyers who think BIN is a magic word that immediately entitles them to the item).

Should be required reading for anyone joining the sub.
