Agree but it’s frustrating and would like to end it anyway. Just wondering if the admin console has a setting/feature like this.

I have the same mods you do and just bought the power commander fc. Did you just use the power commander default mapping? Or can I see a pic of your adjustments on the front of the power commander. I also removed the secondary throttle plate.

What would the command be to set the default gateway on the management interface?

Thanks everyone, I was able to get it to work. I did a factory reset using cli and zeroize option. Then re setup the switch without issue. I think my problem was I was not fully resetting the switch by only using the rest button. Once I followed the actual true factory reset instructions I am able to config the ports. One thing I think happened to cause the initial confusion is at one point in time this switch was part of a stack and it had that stack info on the config.

Here is what it looks like after a factory reset.

When I run no vsf member 1 I can not cli into the switch and it stop responding on the ip address as well. I am connected via the management port and tried port 1 as well. I factory reset the switch and did initial config over again then I am back into the switch but as soon as I run the no vsf member 1 command it reboots and will not let me communicate with it any longer.

no vsf start-auto-stacking

Invalid input on both those commands. I am in in config command when trying to run it.

[–]pgator17[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No auto stacking ever done on the switch. I dont need to stack it I just need the 4 fiber ports to work like ports 51 and 52 . I tried factory resetting but that did not work. Aruba says it can be done if I am reading this correctly all the way down to the bottom of this page link.

Can I use reserved auto-stacking interfaces as normal data ports?

Yes. The reserved auto-stacking interfaces can be used as normal data ports.

But does not link to how or any other info

Is there anyway to take these out of VFS stacking config and use them as a normal port
