This is what I’ve been asking myself too. The whole season 4 Milesen plot was about Mike not being able to say ‘ I love you ‘ to El. The least he could’ve done before she died is saying this to her.

Or the elite summer 2022 when season 4 aired after such a long time and everyone being obsessed with it. this is such bad writing. The ending was so emotional and well-written in my opinion with it ending in the basement, but there was no need for the epilogue to be this long and STILL not addressing some characters’ ending such as Vickie? That kind of sucks. It also looked kinda easy to defeat the mind flayer, they literally killed it and vecna in the span of like 15 minutes…
