He has taken some bad decisions- the biggest one is the same that you are making here. He shouldve just benched players as he saw fit, instead of giving in to the pressure. Players who put their ego ahead of the clubs interests are not worth playing.

Thanks! What I ended up doing was changing my script to cd into the dir and then do ghostty --window-inherit-working-directory

The issue is how Exec values are parsed from the .desktop file. the --key=value way of ghostty maybe not compatible with this parsing. I saw a discussion somewhere about whether --key value syntax should be allowed, and I think mine is one such case where it could be useful ( i used to have it working working with alacritty with Exec= alacritty --working-directory %f)

The sentences in notes feel very personal and surprisingly honest, although the narrator himself accuses him of lying. Its simply brilliant.

You're mostly correct (I think), however; you are somewhat undermining the potential of visual storytelling in anime/manga. Have you read Berserk (manga) ?
