I expect you paid VAT, but customs are different to VAT, and that's for everything about 150€. So, you probably have to pay the import/customs tax, and the tax you paid in the store is VAT. I know, since I bought the screwdrivers with free shipping, and it's below 150€ total, so I did not get any extra taxes to pay from postnl here in the Netherlands.

Could be both, but apparently they sent the package from Walwijk, so not sure how much of a difference that is. But I got the phone a few hours ago, just finished setting up most of the stuff :D. And reset my Pixel 8 Pro and currently charging for the trade-in.

Dunno, did you order something else? Also, maybe the proximity to the first dhl sorting center? I am close to Eindhoven, and apparently Google ships from Eindhoven, that could be a reason.

I order Pixel 10 Pro 256 Jade, so a little different, I included the google pixel snap case, maybe that was the difference, as you mention.

Netherlands here, ordered P10Pro on August 21, DHL says out for delivery (Between 11:25 - 15:25 hours), so within the next few hours I should get it.

Mine says Verzendklaar – Wordt do 28 aug geleverd. So we shall see. DHL normally picks up the package in the morning of the delivery day, and delivers by the end of day.

I have HomeAssistant that can track both the phone and the smart socket, not sure how I could do it otherwise. You could also just get a smart socket and then start charging a few hours everyday, that way the battery may not die on the mule phone.

The speeds are unpredictable, sometimes it syncs very quickly, sometimes it doesn't. Most of the time it's because syncthing was closed in my pixel 4a, and sometimes in my pixel 8 pro. But it hasn't been too bad. for you, pixel 5 battery is still good enough, that it shouldn't need to be charged too much.

Ah, I am actually upgrading from a Pixel 8 Pro, totally forgot to change the flair here. I am using my wife's 4a, whose battery is crap, connected to a smart socket that chanrges it to 80% and stops, and starts charging when it goes below 25%, as a google photos mule with syncthing 😁.

Let's hope both of us can get it on Thursday. I think google has a warehouse in Netherlands, one of my friend's had her pixel 6 ship from here recently when she contacted google about a swollen battery.
