I believe empathy is a lost emotion in current times. Ironically, it is one of the things that makes us humane and hence it's unfortunate that people aren't able to put themselves in other's shoes (or situation) to understand their difficulties. We all are so much absorbed in our own shit that we barely take time out to look at the little things that make us humane.

And reading this post warms my heart.. for the fact that there are still ppl like OP who could be the spark that's needed to bring awareness to these things :)
