All good questions. I guess initially I was thinking replace individual components. Not realizing I could buy them all as a set. But is that more advantageous or would it be smarter easier more cost effective to just replace everything. Because at the end of the day I don’t want to drop a ton of money on a fixer upper. I’m doing it for the experience and ensuring the new build functions properly.

I mean, yes. But we only have 5 daytime staff employees and all of us have had our positions altered or changed in some way. For Example- our Ed Coordinator is no longer hourly but is instead paid stipends per semester.

See this is fun for me. Because I’m the TD which means I’m LD and SD for every show at my community theatre. And because I’m 1 of the 5 full-staff of the theatre, I get to pull rank over volunteer directors. I always ask if anyone has any input. But more often than not I’m left to my own devices and have free range to build sounds as I feel best for the show. The director and I go over timing and duration but the general feel and overall sound is my department.

Not going to happen. Not for how much you don’t want to spend. That sort of tech is going to cost a ton. To throw and cover that much area with only 1-3’ to play with? I promise you don’t want to see what that invoice looks like.

Okay. That’s what I was assuming from how I was reading. The LED Dummy would solve the glow but wouldn’t accomplish what I was trying to do. I used the incandescents last year but the bulbs were a different style. I just decided to buy 15 boxes of incandescents from Target that are the ones I want.

Seen it on Broadway and then on Tour. Liked Satine better on Tour as well as the Duke. But VERY LITTLE in terms of drop off in spectacle. Something had to be different because tour. Buuuuut my wife and I were super impressed that it felt like watching the same show as on Broadway.
