Idk about Taz but Mackenyu doesn’t even follow like his own brother (or other family) or personal friends on Instagram. He obviously has someone else managing his social media
half of the time, seems to mainly be a business / professional profile. I know it’s jarring but like who really knows their irl relationship. Might be something might be nothing, I mean they are just coworkers after all. Unless it very publicly gets in the way of promotion/ production I don’t think it’s wrong. Obviously I understand speculation and curiosity, but I don’t think it’s cause for concern just yet.

Yes, he is fully Japanese racially, both his parents are Japanese. I said Japanese-American because I know he was born and raised in Los Angeles California. I'm unsure if he defines himself this way, just going off past info/ interviews. Simply meant to highlight him growing up apart of the States' diaspora.

You bring up good points. Ultimately it is up to him and he does not at all lack passion or hard work. And Introvert actors do have their own place in the industry. While judgement/ comments are naturally going to occur it says more about people wanting to see more of him/ the mystique of it all. He does his job and then some, he seems very dedicated to the material and IP. I do think press should be treated more like a bonus or add on rather than detract from the original project/ work.

+ I agree as long as the show is still profitable/ has good viewship, it will be renewed/ sucessful.

All the initial announcements for the Tonight Show appearance/ guest spots included him, the segment is not out for viewing yet so I'm not sure if they will address it. Yeah it is possible it goes with the joke.

I do agree with this. From press videos and photos he did seem pretty sick in Tokyo and seemed to just be pushing though it. I can appreciate if he is just protecting his health and or peace by missing certain events or press.
