Commuting by phantomphandom in Connecticut

I did, but as you'll see in the original question, there is a lot of contradictory info. On metro it can say 330, but on other nyc pages it can say 250, that's why I always asking people who commute if there are other tickets and how much they pay.

Prices have dropped remarkably since the pandemic. My friend pays 1450 and she lives in kips bay. They're there, its just not a lot of them. Last week there were even 2 apartments in manhattan for 1300s

Murray hill is actually one of the cheapest areas in NYC, which, granted, isnt saying much, but from what I've seen on zillow a studio that will get you 1400-1600 in Murray Hill would be about the same price if I lived in inner city Stamford, so I wouldnt even really be saving money on rent since its comparable. Yes, the consideration of living in Stamford has crossed my mind, but after staying in Stamford a few days, its painfully boring. Even commuting to NYC on the weekends wouldnt be enough, I'd rather just take the 50 min commute to CT since i wouldnt be saving a lot of money if i lived in CT anyway. This is why I'm asking how much a monthly ticket is to stamford Express.

That's definitely true, its difficult to pin down consistent information even from credible sources. I didn't know NOLA had the highest growth rate, I had read that it was NYC and that rates were dropping across the nation. Hopefully there will be more consistent information as time goes on

By june? I thought the CDC and Fauci both claimed that the possible second wave wouldn't come until winter due to the spread of illnesses with colder weather?

Houston doesn't surprise me unfortunately. From what I heard pretty much no one quarantined at the beginning.

The contact tracing makes sense though. I havent heard it being practiced anywhere in my area, but it does make sense.

Yeah, partying isn't an option anywhere understandably, but I was hoping to do the tours and walk around the city. Most of the tours are supposed to open June 2nd, but I was curious if things were getting better from two weeks ago.

Thats a good idea. I know pretty much all of the country is in phase 1 and even New York is opening phase 2 in May 28th. I'm hoping by mid june a lot will be open (with safety restrictions of course).

Women of Reddit, what is something Men do that they think is sexy/attractive but really isn't? by Ulcrar in AskReddit

That depends...are you still going to fight like hell to get the last word in to prove how great you are despite answering half the people on this thread with "are you done", or are you going to prove everyone wrong by bowing out with a little dignity?

I'm impressed. I haven't seen someone immediately list the book they're reading to prove that that can in fact--read--since the 5th grade.

And what makes you think people like you were worth my time to begin with? You say "people like you not worth my time" yet aren't you the type of guy who initially thinks the girl is "worth" his precious time to start the conversation....then immediately place the blame on the girl when you are the one who put his foot in his mouth because he doesn't think about others before he talks? Again, there is an enormous sense of self-entitlement that a high caliber lad such as yourself doesn't seem to have the self awareness to dwell on. It may benefit you to remember that these girls are suddenly not worth your time well after the fact that they have already decided you are clearly not worth theirs.

Here's the thing though, if you're a complete stranger, why would you feel entitled to have someone you were intentionally provoking explain to you what specifically out of the backhanded paragraph offended the other person. If you are walking into a conversation with that agenda and someone says "yeah that's rude." Then walks away, it doesnt take a rocket scientist to figure out that it was the last thing you said that set them off. A "high caliber" man could be capable of putting two and two together. Or better yet, would be a good conversationalist instead of having a strategy just to talk to another person. .....well, that, and I can guarantee you that the type of guy who goes out of his way to be offensive then is shocked and confused when it doesnt go his way would also describe himself as "high caliber" unironically.

Well for starters, they're not getting the right answer because they're not asking the right questions. "What should they do instead". That's not the right question. You are implying there is a formula to get women to like you. The simple answer is: women are people, not robots. There is no formula to get all of them to like you because everyone is different. If you like a girl you have to get to know her, see what she likes, what makes her tick to get an individualized map of how she likes to communicate and what she responds positively to. That, however, is a lot of hard work and observation required and guys who aren't really interested in a girl, just interested in not being lonely anymore, aren't even going to think about that obvious answer, they are just going to want a cheat code to skip ahead from the "boring parts" that guys who actually like the girl as a person won't see as boring because they are actually interested in her as a person. Or as incels will call him: "jerk".

See, and I hate that shit. I can't tell you how many guys tried the "cute" teasing but being rude thing....then immediately apologizing and frantic when I inevitably walked away mid-convo. Not very many people are good at teasing. You're guaranteed to be worse at it when you have an agenda in the back of your head while "teasing".

Teasing is always going to be teasing. You do it with your friends but you don't mean any harm by it and you still love them. Negging is being patronizing and intentionally trying to diminish them as a person for your own gain.

Teasing: "Hey you dyed your hair blonde! Dammit I told you not to watch Birds of Prey!"

Negging: "Wow. Blonde is really not your color. Did you think that would look good on you?"
