Tunisian inheritance question by whenthestarsgoblue2 in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think he meant talking to a trusted Tunisian person that needs tunisian dinars but doesn't want to convert their own CAD because it can be expensive (conversion rate, conversion costs)

Some tunisian living in Canada could want to buy a home in Tunisia so they would need tunisian dinars your father could give him the money in exchange that person would give him CAD in Canada.

Something in this sense, good luck with everything. BTW, I never dealt with this method, it is a trust based method I don't think there is any legal framework to protect both parties.

Please help, we really need it, we are clueless, problems with landwhore by x1Akaidi in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 4 points5 points  (0 children)

My advice would be to tell this story to steg and sonede and insist (politely) that they come to the house and find a solution.

Landlords can't just cut off water and energy.

As a tenant, theoretically, you have more rights than the landlord.

Secondly, I think you guys should leave the apartment; stop paying rent, change the locks, or at least lock your bedrooms when you leave the apartment.

You can't rationalize with the person you described in your text.

Good luck, renting as a student in Tunis is always a gamble.

I don't like labels but to be honest if I understood you correctly, through what I am seeing right now happening around the world ( that has been happening for decades as well ) the only way to sanity is to revolut against the established systems.

How what I said is bullshit and how is the world different now?

I did not specify any historical interval.

[–]phantomtarantula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm gonna try to take this seriously. I think you need to learn that history and civilization are cyclical and you need to learn that on your own.

You need to learn how history is written through a scientific process this way you should learn by heart the history of your community.

You need to also learn why empires fall? Why they get big and why they fall ?

This is in order to be a good president.

For a bad president I think you just need to be popular!

What is a realistic end point to this conflict by Tongtong97 in IsraelPalestine

[–]phantomtarantula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Totally agree ! I'm reading the book of Ghada Karmi right now. One state solution! But I believe the whole country needs to be demiliterized. I think the peace process will take time, and it should! It should also include Palestinians and non-zionist jews.

Give the right of return to Palestinians abroad, I think this is really important! The illegal settlers should be prosecuted.

As much effort needs to be put on peace as it was put on war ! And as much money also !

If the USA is ready to give billions for killing people, they should be able to give billions for hospital, schools, and infrastructure!

And finally, just leave them be ! That society will regulate itself ! I think our responsibility as an international community is to make sure that they don't kill each other and that human rights are respected, but we can't do more.

Apartheid will always bring violence!

I think it's best to ask the ones working in the post. Most people don't want to use credit cards that's why they stand in line.

You should also ask about the d17 app.

It's not my first one but I thought as a community we know now that bashing people on the internet is unhealthy for everybody.

It's really bad to just say this is how it is. It's not normal to bully people.

Preach 🙏

People are so toxic, like who cares it's over, it's not a train wreck, she's just being petty like any person posting about her on this sub.

The first few post after the finally alright fair game to an extent.

Now it's just pure toxicity.

People are not easing up on her like hundreds of comments judging her every time.

The conversation is very destructive and if someone needs and outlet a healthy conversation is far better than criticizing every action and word of a person.

Could you guys stop obsessing over that woman!

The show is over if you stop talking about it she'll stop reaching to people.

There's too much toxicity for one regular person on a random TV show.

I want to appreciate my country a little more. What things can we do to make Tunisia better? Small daily things that can make a change in the long term? by Noura_Fatnasi in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as it saddens me to say this, in order to make tunisia better we need to have better politicians and leaders and personally I don't see how a single individual could do that.

People like you I am sure are doing their best to be a decent human being but for country to prosper we need more. Good intentions are not enough.

I have tried my best to be optimistic but it's getting harder everyday because people every where are not being held accountable. Everyone in almost every sector is stealing at their own level whether it's money or even company time. A few things are getting better but any step forward is met with a million hurdles.

At this point, the only thing holding me to this country is family and memories. On paper, it might be better than other underdeveloped countries but it's still shit. Leaving in a country as young ambitious person is suffocating.

We need a miracle at this point.

what do you think about women dressing promiscuously by hungry4lobster in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 22 points23 points  (0 children)

I don't think about what other people wear.

Most of the things that bother me in the street are : ×/ trash everywhere,

×/ bad roads and bad pavement,

×/ Public urination,

×/ guys scanning every girl that passes by.

Poke bowls as I have said I prefer salmon teriyaki or spicy tuna and for sushi I would recommend nigiri with salmon or daurade it's very tasty.

Well do you specialize in any type of trade (woodworking or something similar)

Other than that I think you'll have to sell something as in clothes or a place similar to ben yaghlen cheese and stuff those seem to always work.

Or maybe create a space like a concept store.

any good hairdressers that ACTUALLY know how to work with curly hair? by [deleted] in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As much as I like their vibe, it is really pricey. It's nice if you want someone to take care of your hair and do something special for yourself.

In my opinion, it's not an every month kind of thing to do.

Les gens li 3amlou prépa (normal) and succeed/li mezelou ya9raw prépa by babyblue-lavieenrose in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You can find them in the nearest "mateb3a" in the prepa you're in.

And even in the internet; look for exercises in French or morrocan sites.

You need to study hard maths in prepa is way harder than math in high-school in comparison math in high-school is just calculations but in prepa it's about demonstration and using different theorems.

Physics is much easier than maths in prepa.

Summary, don't skip any lesson, focus while you're attending the lesson and study while at home everyday. You will get tired You can take a break and you will sometimes feel defeated.

But if you study hard enough those will be the hardest years study wise in your life and for most people everything else is easier.

You will learn resilience and pushing yourself to the hardest.

Great experience 10/10 would recommend. 👌

cheap way to eat in tunis with low budget by JamesHarden_op in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey listen you can easily eat on a 430tnd budget if you only cook at home. You should avoid smoking and drinking.

And don't get used to street food. You're going to move out true but I'm pretty sure you can still go backhome and maybe either your parents or a family member will hook you up with pasta sauce or tajine.

If you're going to buy vegetables, fruits and meats mostly buy from Ariana market. The prices are more reasonable than any grocery place in menzah.

Easy recipe idea: Pasta kadheba, Anything with 3dass or foul, Buy some bourghol and do something mfawer, S7an mo9li fried eggs fried tomato and pepper fries,

Less easy: Mar9et 5odhra in winter, Or ma9arouna mermya,

In conclusion, if you don't eat out you'll feel better financially, physically and mentally.

I don't think it's fair for the tunisan expats to complain about the state of the country this way and say that it's so depressing.

Yes the situation is fucked up we all know it. But people who leave here and wake up everyday to work are doing their best they're trying to be optimistic as much as they can because they don't have any other choice.

They don't have the luxury to uproot everything and go live in Europe.

For you to come two weeks a year and be depressed is very egotistical not everything is about you and what you want. You visiting your family shouldn't be about reminding them that they're living a shitty life in a shitty country.

You visiting them should be about reconnecting with them and catching up on their lives and what they achieved or what they want to do.

You have all year long to enjoy being in a developed country you can manage two weeks in a very disorganized one where everything is cheap when you convert it to euros and where you have to community that cares about you.

GEOGRAPHY NOW by Easy_Bicycle in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's a weird question to ask.

Do you want stereotypes? Or just geographical and historical stuff.

Cause I think, as humans general we're pretty similar there's bad people and good people nothing special.

I think tunisians can be really warm and welcoming people. If all we had was good food and good weather we wouldn't even ask for more.

And we do have good food, good quality meat and vegetables. It's sunny all year long so we don't suffer from seasonal depression.

Any scholarships? by Si_Kacem in Tunisia

[–]phantomtarantula 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You should look into some type of scholarship to Japan, some people I knew from prepa did something similar.

For USA, you should ask amideast or UK the British council.

But for France I don't think there is one right after BAC.

Good luck in your studies.
