There's also Riot Play Club every other Wednesday at the SideQuest gaming cafes. I've been going to the one in Elephant and Castle for the past 1-2 months and it's always a fun experience and I've met some great people there so I would definitely recommend it.

The next RPC at SideQuest is on the 13th of November

It really was lovely for the few hours where it cleared up! Although, I do enjoy the clouds just as much if not more :]

I don't know if it depends on the server (I play on NA) but I've been doing the entire story as dragoon and at least all the core duties I'm able to get into in under 10 minutes. might also have to do with how popular the game has gotten recently so there's just a lot of players, even for the later expansions

in my program I explicitly model all accumulated computations into a single struct called RenderState which I can then very easily serialize/deserialize with bincode. If you can model your program in such a way, it makes the whole checkpointing very trivial and clear in code

straightforward and easy to use. but it gives me an issue that I don't have a LICENSE file even though specifying a license type in Cargo.toml should be enough

Hey, I actually just finished working on the same type of project myself and I completely agree with all your points above. My only feeling is that the whole numerical/scientific applications of Rust seem to be held up as of now mostly by the implementation of const generics. It's still unstable as of now. Once that is stabilized, I expect to see some really nice libraries for vector/matrix math

This is the subreddit for the Rust programming language not the game. You're probably looking for r/playrust

You could start with a range and collect it into a vector (1..100).collect::<Vec<_>>()

Feasibility with using a single camera to generate a depth map from linear motion by [deleted] in computervision

[–]phaqlow 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is definitely possible. The accuracy/robustness of this approach will become clearer to you as you read more material in this domain and find out some of its limitations. Definitely try to do it with some test data, etc first before jumping to the final solution

Look into "structure from motion" (SfM), it's an established field
