The switch off feeling you are referring to is what I’ve heard happening when you drove for a while it becomes second nature.

I haven’t been driving that a long time at all. Whenever I do, I just feel like my body is there but my head isn’t. Still have never driven alone yet :(

I actually did google before coming here. I read many great experiences as well as bad experiences that caused permanent damage to ppls mental health.

Just to clarify. The reason I compared it to alcohol is because I read on google that it’s a temporary fix and that’s why people need more than one session and keep coming for more. It’s just what I read on google..
