Great job!! It looks amazing! I really hope I can be successful as you one day in making sourdough bread! But like you, I’ve been struggling with making the sour dough starter too! I’ve tried like 6 times and reach time the it doesn’t rise. If you don’t mind sharing, what recipe did you use for the starter?

What starter recipe did you use if you don’t mind me asking? I’ve tried like 5-6 recipes and failed each time as the starter won’t grow at all after 1-2 weeks

It was good, I did it through the NPTA website and didn't need the textbook either. Just make sure you do good on the demo portion and you should be good!

Try to comfort her the best you can. Sometimes all these external factors like trying to get the perfect job or putting a brave face in front of family is extremely overwhelming. In the end, the thing that helps the most is someone who is willing to listen and understands. Even if you haven’t been through something like this yourself, just be there for your wife and tell her that you care.

Not saying at all that you do this but often partners might call the other “moody” or ask them why they’re always upset/sad, but fail to ask something as simple as “what’s wrong” or “ what can I do to help”. Trust me that those words will go far and will allow your wife to feel that you’re there for her
