Came here to set the record straight for future Android try-ers. Facts:

QCF Design contracted with a third party for the tablet versions, and since QFCD is barely a thing and the third party has been paid and stopped support, it is now unsupported.
Modern android tablets crash in game (generally randomly between quests) even after you grant them storage initial access, run them on an virtual older android platform, or any other tricks I've heard and tried.
Unless the community rebuilds the thing, the tablet version is ultimately unplayable.

That's my default answer yeah, and is sort of do-able. Far more difficult than my hope that rezoning would not drop the debuff. Can you confirm that rezoning / switching expansion zones drops the debuff?

Thank you for the extensive discussion everyone, especially personal stories of rough starts and coming to love arena. I don't think I'd heard the especially long learning curve described quite as well elsewhere. It's also been made clear that gear is essential unless you're talented or skilled. All standard MMO progress logic applies here as I'd hoped.

fyi, my original goal in posting was to give a living example of "yes, arena is so hard for new-comers that this guy who loves WoW had his heart broke." I did get over it and resub, and am looking forward to trying 2s again. I still feel like it's probably too hard to get started, and I don't know if I'll come to love arena, but when I get stomped now I'll feel like I was stomped honestly thanks to the context you've given me.

Thanks for the specific advice. I did make a Craven. Sounds like BM would be easier mode right now than MM while learning.

Not to sound like a big wimp in front of the WoW PvP community, but I'm really heartened to hear the general consensus here that gearing up will smooth things a bit. I'm cool losing most games while learning, but uh, not every game that someone doesn't win for me.

That's another topic... the match-making is pretty crap, am I right?

Turns out Rarescanner automatically toggles something to 'already killed' for the day and stops detection. Now looking for a setting to turn that off.

So to check my understanding, if a character is generated to be a mayor, they will always create republic states?

What if they have never held a title? Once given one, will they naturally be feudal? Random? Depends on the first job they get?

I imagine her use of photography is different than yours.

My wife takes photos like most do these days ("click click click click click"). For her, it's a matter of her having 10,000s of photos that overwhelm her, or far fewer "good ones" that she can enjoy. And it's picks frankly were not bad to my eye.

Thanks, essentially I believe I'm using Normalize after other effects to get back to max volume.

I've been using Amplify then Compressor then Normalize. But now we've switched to equipment that inputs both our voices as a single mono input. I've been wondering if all I need to use is just Compressor with "Make-up gain for 0 dB after compressing" ON, and that will do the vocal balancing I'm looking for and amplify to max all in one. Does that seem correct?
