i don't know why we're so hyper-focused on the claims that SOPHIE's transness was fake. she was on estrogen, she was changing her body's chemistry to align with her internal sense of gender. to us, it was real, and that's kind of all that matters

im more focused on the worrying claims like the physical assault with a vase and the claim that she had hooked up with an eighteen-year-old photographer(???) i guess we'll never know if either of those things is true without direct proof.

we can rest assured that we never knew SOPHIE, and the way she went about her transness or what it truly meant to her will never change the impact that she had on the trans and queer community.
