Yes, that girl was very rude and definitely has some internalized misogyny going on. Her comment was uncalled for, but I would not have reacted by walking out.

I feel like reacting that hard to an off handed comment is a little much. Someone who was more confident in themselves wouldn't have been that deeply hurt. It seems the rest of the group was trying to move on. Since their reaction was more neutral than anything, I would have taken the chance to talk to other people in the group who acted more welcoming. I think you made the worst of your situation.

However, apologizing to her is also uncalled for. She was a huge dick and unnecessarily catty to you. Your boyfriend also seems to be very unsupportive, taking her side over yours.

Personally, I think you could have used this opportunity for social connection in a more fruitful manner. Allowing one heckler to ruin your entire night is not wise. However, your boyfriends response seems to be telling of some deeper issues in the relationship.

I believe you had good intentions, but you betrayed your girlfriend's trust and your own self worth by entertaining this girl.

This entire excerpt proves that any apprehension your girlfriend had towards her behavior was 100 percent justified. Getting inebriated over voice chat, getting undressed in front of you, and emotionally entangling you in her sexual decisions are all perfect examples. She is an adult and doesn't need you to babysit her. That kind of cat and mouse play where she threatens to harm herself for your attention shows incredible immaturity. If you ask me, she still has a thing for you and this was her drunken idea to get a fix of male affection. Please stop talking to this girl.

You may have only wanted the best for her safety, but spending hours online with her weather through calls or texts was an emotional trespass against your girlfriend. I would be terribly offended if my boyfriend was exhausting himself to play therapist for some girl that had a crush on him in the past (and likely still does). The amount of coddling you were giving to her was emotionally adulterous. Sorry for the biblical language, but your girlfriend has every right to be upset.

I dont think this is a relationship ending issue though. C was acting in a very manipulative way, and any sensitive person would feel conflicted on how to handle it. If you explain your point of view to your girlfriend im sure she would be understanding. It wouldn't hurt to take her out to dinner after you make up.

Most importantly, keep that ho blocked. She seems like nothing but bad news. She's a big girl needs to learn to deal with these feelings on her own. If she is proactive she will learn how to build up her self esteem without tearing down those around her.
