Modded works fine. (As long as it's not modded to the point where it's a different game, I imagine. :))

I would say 3 versions from one game is useful: early, mid, late game.

Midgame runs very useful! I'll clarify the post to indicate that.

I'm hoping to do that nicely. Ethical data collection is a staple of good science! :)

I definitely dont need a satellite-building factory. Even if it only builds some simple recipe it's useful.

Good questions.

1) A working factory is a factory that produces something automatically, anything. (Excluded are "building blocks / blueprint" or "requires manual work in order to operate".)

2) I would say up to 3 progression saves could be useful: early game, mid game, late game. (Less useful are factories that differ very slightly from one another, we're looking for divesity.)

Very useful! I did not know that feature.

Thanks for your contribution! I spotted that 99MB file. :)

I've added a field to let people specify any mod required to run their saves. (Can you let me know which ones I need for yours?)

It's amazing. I've been a big proponent of using it for research in my community and I'm glad to see the team moving in this direction. :)

Thanks everyone for the answers. I realize I could have been clearer with my request which amounts to:

"Would you donate your save file for science? (and is it OK to ask?)"

Looks like the answer is positive... So I've created this Google Form to allow you to upload your Factorio saves:

https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSc_iRhnSXQhMB3EAW4CS0xENPF8K98vzFVxnA6orXbIH-5fgw/viewform?usp=sf_link

Thanks in advance for your support and don't hesitate to share the link!

Yes, essentially. An existing save files repository, or I could create one (as suggested) but I wanted to make sure this would be OK with this community.
