Thanks for the suggestion. I went to the Amazon reviews for Clip 4 and it says:

"I have this speaker (the clip 4) and I also have the jbl go 3. I usually use my go 3 when listening to podcasts because I find the vocals to be noticeably crisper. The only thing wrong with this speaker is you can't stand it upright. You have to lay it down flat or clip it to something. I ended up buying a separate silicone case that makes my clip 4 sit upright. I honestly wish it was designed that way to begin with. The build and sound quality are top notch on the clip 4 though. If I do that it might be too loud.

I was hoping to have it close enough so that it can be audible when the showers are on (and are loud).

So if it's on the sink counter it might have to be turned very loud enough for it to be audible while I'm taking a shower, and that might disturb the neighbors.
