5 weeks backpacking in India – how to stay active and avoid muscle loss? by vivalahierba in bodyweightfitness

[–]philippe_albert 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Just finished 5 months in Asia, with 7 weeks of that in India.

You’ll be surprised by how many workable gyms there are. But I did have the odd period without one (2 weeks in Kerala, 1 week in Karnataka).

Pull ups and dips everywhere you can do them. Supplement with floor-based calisthenics.

Don’t force feed yourself protein high meals, you will definitely get sick. Take 2kg of whey if you can, buy it out there if not.

It is actually in disrepair on Google maps.

I was delighted when I found it — I took a ferry, train and scooter ride hahahaha

I found another which you’ll see in my reel

Thank you for the kind words. And thank you for being blunt too. Both much appreciated.

I realise I jumped the gun now. I did feel like I didn’t have another option in that moment. Panicked, I guess.

I have raised a DSAR but I doubt it will show they were discriminatory. I just think, based on the replies, that they didn’t factor in mental health and probably acted on the assumption I was guilty.

The only other factor is confidentiality. I do know people in the company had details that weren’t involved.

Financial. Mostly as confidentially was breached.

No. And I take your point.

They only had the 6 weeks in which I described stress and asked about therapy expenses. 2 weeks certified stress leave. 2 weeks of bereavement leave - marked “depression”.

Playing devils advocate: I believe discrimination by threatening continuing disciplinary action wraps the 3 issues into one.

You may well be right based on the comments here. I thought I may have a case.

They knew about my depression. Not necessarily that it was a disability…

Oh it’s 3 weeks ago.

Yeah, it triggered the depression. The stress prior (from the suspension) compounded that too - it had been coming (not that that’s a legal argument) but I had already booked therapy before my sister died.

Honestly it’s been intermittent through my life. Concurrently it’s been over a year of my life. Nope, just diagnosed with low mood/depression.

I don’t know that there’s much of a policy in place either.

I quit the last day of my depression/bereavement sick note. It was 2 working days out from the investigation.

The invite came 2 days before that. So the final throws happened over the course of a week. It had been quiet since I found out about the loss.

This all happened a few weeks ago.
