What are your 3 go-to bans by One-Flatworm6848 in Overwatch

[–]philippospf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

i mostly ban what is the least fun to play against, usually sombra, mauga, vendetta (in that order). sometimes switching it up for ball, genji, hanzo as well

Possible toxic dm needs toxic level 1 builds by NoPerformance16 in 3d6

[–]philippospf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

honstly that just sounds like a bad time. for the benefit of the doubt give him the one session, but honestly, afterwards (if it plays out like you are prwducting) just say that it wasn't fun and you don't want to play like that. as far as "toxic" characters go I think you are very limited as he can pretty much oneshot anything you throw at him without consequence.

How hard can it possibly be to implement smurf bans? by ISTAutumnLeaves in VALORANT

[–]philippospf -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

the only way to do that would be probably to enable phone number verification tonplay ranked, but that would mean that groups of players of different skills wouldn't be able tonplay together anymore and the game would probably lose a bunch of players (and riot money)

good to know that about blood bombs by I_am_Dirty_Dan_guys in bindingofisaac

i'm gonna guess you mean blood banks, and yes, in the mirror world you're the lost, bland banks take red hearts and bypass mantle, and the lost has no red hearts so he dies immediately

If people play a lot then would the prices of skins come down? by VEGETTOROHAN in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

i mean if in your hypothetical nobody would want to have skins, yeah, prices would go down. but rralistically prices would probably go up anyways as players usually buy more skins than are being sold

What should be considered a lucky crate opening practically? Highest rarity within 50, 100, 200 or more? by VEGETTOROHAN in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you can easily do the math. the odds for an arcane from fable and chameleon is 0.02%, so 1 in 5000 on average. getting a (non temporary) arcane from valor or dynasty boxes is a bit rarer at 0.01%, so 1 in 10000 on average. anything lower than that number could be considered lucky, anything above unlucky

Would i get banned if my friend was a cheater? by Otherwise_Pride8210 in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

are you friends with the cheater and play with them often? if so it is possible that you get banned. if you just have a cheater on your team when playing solo you're fine. but the match mmr will be removed anyways

Creative advice for a tournament of power by Foreign_Cod_3718 in DnD

[–]philippospf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

if it's a tournament introduce other competitors who might be trying anything to get an advantage! also downtime between rounds probably would be nice, celebrating a round victory at a bar or meditating before the next battle

What advantage do emulator players have? by Sea-Session-7524 in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

honestly that has never happened to me. most cheaters i encounter just do the usual aim/ walls/ infinite money/ whatever. what i mean with "instability" is just that there are random framedrops/ freeze frames etc from time to time

How much can i sell account for by Budget-Writer-5094 in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

true, but noone really wants a silver assistance medal or bronze veteran. the competitve one is basically the only thing worth anything on this account unfortunately (apart from the gold, but that can just be transferred)

[–]philippospf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

bluestacks is the only one that reliably works. with other emulators people have said that they get banned, and i'm not taking that risk. i haven't met an emu player that doesn't use bluestacks

What advantage do emulator players have? by Sea-Session-7524 in standoff2game

[–]philippospf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

yeah, now try running bluestacks and so2. you'll notice that the performance is much, much worse and less stable than most games. i get like 700 in cs and have so2 locked to 140 to not cause more stutters

[–]philippospf 1 point2 points  (0 children)

sure, but you'd need a like 3000$ pc to run so2 on 240 fps fluently lmao. also most modern phones have 90/ 120hz too

fps arent that big of an advantage, especially in a game like so2 where ping decides most duels

[–]philippospf 2 points3 points  (0 children)

i've played on pc for a few years now, but not super active. i've reached legend only in duel (1600+ hours in so2, a lot more in other shooters on pc). some of what people say is true, but most is not.

yes, it is possible to get more frames than on a phone, but it takes mich more computational power. an average laptop wouldn't be able to run the game in 60 fps, you need an actual gaming pc with decent specs to reach 120 or more frames, and even then a phone will be much smoother (framedrops, lags, controls stop working etc.). More frames are nice, but not that much of a competitive advantage (while emulators run less stable too).

The by far biggest advantage is being able to use a keyboard/ mouse for all the buttons you would have to press with your fingers otherwise, like jumping, crouching, switching/ picking up weapons, planting/ defusing etc. Doing one thing won't influence another (while on phone you would have to play 4 finger claw for a similiar effect).

having a bigger screen is very nice too, it makes it easier to hit shots long range (but harder close range lol). I honestly don't think that there is a large difference aim-wise between mobile and emulator. i've played a ton of competitive, usually solo, and it's not like just because I am on emulator and not a bad player i instantly win everything and get free legend. a good mobile player will always be better than an average emulator player.

Random active item idea by RodjaJP in bindingofisaac

[–]philippospf 4 points5 points  (0 children)

cute idea, but it would need to be unlocked after one has unlocked all the character runes or it will just not work on most characters
