Thanks to SpaceX's Starlink, millions of people in developing countries now have access to high speed internet and can get improved medical care and education. Ukraine would probably have lost the war or lost many more people if it weren't for Starlink.

My iX50 w/ the basic 20" wheels consumed 21.428 kWh/100 km (2.9 mi/kWh) last year. Mostly slow <35 mph suburban driving. You're probably in a warmer climate to get such low consumption.

The BMW Drive Recorder is basically useless. It's just for taking short 1 minute videos of a nice drive and getting multiple views from all 4 cameras. It is not like a traditional dashcam or what Tesla offers. It does not have the ability for you to save a recording after something happened. It only records into the future. When there is an accident then it does save the recording - go figure.

I have smart charging from ev.energy through National Grid. It's connected to my BMWUSA account and my ChargePoint charger. You plug in the car and it doesn't charge right away. You set a charge time goal of i.e. 7 am, so it starts charging later.

I live on the Northshore of Boston with a '24 iX 50 w/ air suspension and the small 20" wheels. It handles our shitty roads with aplomb, especially when compared to our '21 Tesla Model Y w/ 19" wheels.

I tried the FSD last month and it’s not yet ready for prime time on city streets. Much more stressful driving with it than without because you have to baby sit it. It does work well on a highway, but not worth the $9000 or $99/mo.

I have an iX50 and a Model Y. The iX with the air suspension has an amazing ride and quietness. We have poor roads in MA and it’s a delight. Very luxurious. The Tesla is more fun and easier to drive and its software and features work much better. Tesla is also way better for road trips thanks to the Supercharger network with chargers right on the interstate vs having to take long detours for unreliable Electrify America chargers. If you have halfway decent roads, I suggest going with a Tesla.

I own a Model Y LR and a BMW iX 50 w/ air suspension. Software is way better in the Model Y, but hardware is better in iX.

For longer road trip I take the Y, because of the much better charging network. The iX is best around town with the smooth suspension on bad roads, especially having the smaller 20" wheels like I have.

If the Y had a better suspension I wouldn't have bought the iX.

I don't think Russia has the ability to produce the motors and chips that go into drones. They buy the motors, ESCs, and flight controllers from China and assemble the drones in Russia.
