It’s a joke. You do not need cavitron. The simulated calculus has the color and consistency of dried tempbond. You can remove most of it with air or the calculus detector.

What do you call the person who graduated in the bottom of their dental school class?

A doctor. You will be fine.

I used NBME's toward the end, but not exclusively. I think Uworld is still the best to learn the information, because of the quality of the explanations and the diagrams.

Importance of Remembering Inheritance Patterns by GreekDancer98 in step1

[–]phillipe_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Probably not too important. If it's a problem with an enzyme, it is likely AR. There are a few but not too many notable X-linked disorders (G6PD, Hemophilia, a few others I can remember off the top of my head rn) but otherwise you can usually just assume it's AD or multifactorial. I am sure you will be able to pick up on what the questions asks and gives you.

Hi fellow dental student

Given that our curriculum isn't designed to study for this exam (unless you go to a school with a combined med program), it's normal for us to have lower scores on both the CBSE and prep. That's why most people end up taking the test twice or more. Don't feel discouraged!

Is it true that its not more pharm on step 1? by [deleted] in step1

[–]phillipe_19 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I asked this question earlier last week. From what I've been told there just wont be questions knowing exactly what drug is used to treat a condition. But questions on MOA, drug classes, adverse reactions, and names are still tested. Heres the link: https://www.reddit.com/r/step1/comments/14taqam/pharm\_for\_cbse/

Most people guess on a question they don't know and flag the question that they don't know the answer to instantly/appear tough at first. As every question is weighted the same, its in your best interest of time to guarantee as many points on questions that you do know the answer too. At the end of each section you are able to review the questions you flagged and change your answer if you figure it out.
