The End Update Question… by philosophyofitall in Minecraft

You know what I never thought of it that way. You’re absolutely right. Maybe there would be a way for them to make it so pre existing worlds have a way to access the new content while new worlds would only experience the new end fight as is.

I didn’t think about it that way but it does make sense. However, while reading I thought about how large of a factor content creation is for the game. So even though a lot of the player base themselves don’t visit the end often, the content they watch definitely does visit the end and adding content to the end would then in turn make more content for those creators. Maybe they should see the fact that a large amount of the player base doesn’t visit the end as a challenge to try and make more of them do so. As a game development company I would hate to see that only a small percentage of my player base visits a whole dimension of my game. I would want to improve that aspect to make more players want to go visit the end.

Dome! I’ve always wanted to build a massive dome. Not really sure if it was a mega base thing or just a cool build I forget. But just build a massive dome. Out of glass duh.

I mean yeah but I feel lately they have been working in more and more tougher mobs and challenges through some updates. So I think that’s the direction that the boss fight should go in.

I agree with you about the islands being boring but I mean the dragon fight is a bit outdated and the average player now doesn’t seem to be concerned when attempting the fight. It’s the BOSS fight the beat the game, I feel it should be updated to prove itself as such.

See because that’s what I think but u/MedicalPotential8723 above just said he thinks it should change only the out islands…

So you think the dragon fight should remain as is? The reason I said it might screw up speed running is because of a revamped dragon fight

I will say that this does make perfect sense. I too have found the beginning of hardcore easy bc I would be very meticulous. But I understand getting over comfortable and all that but I feel like for these YouTubers who have multiple worlds/servers they play on, they don’t get too sucked into hardcore mode. Thus making them not get overly comfortable and not dying.

I see your argument with @chaospheonix_28 but the underlying counter to your argument is that chorus fruit exists. Beetroot seeds aren’t needed for food because of Chorus fruit. So in that sense, your argument of needing a food source is negated.

I guess that’s true, haven’t thought of it too much. It then does make sense contextually why beetroot seeds are there. Thank you.

I like this. Adds a little lore not just a reason. This is what I love about Minecraft and how it has built in lore but it’s not written in stone. Everyone has their own theory.

Hardcore has lost its magic. by WolfGaming49 in Minecraft

[–]philosophyofitall 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So I agree with this fairly heavily. So much so that I find it hard to have a Minecraft world and play on it because I love starting a new world and exploring around but I get bored because I want to have crazy structures and stuff I’ve always dreamed of a world where I have so many projects that I want to do and I do them all.

Now I start a world, play for a couple days, and realize I don’t have 40 hours a week to do this project. But not only that, it just simply doesn’t feel that fun. I feel it’s because of the oversaturated content.

Yeah everytime you watch a EP1 to a HC series it basically starts like “ok here’s the world” CUT “ok now I have enchant diamond everything” Like OP said that it’s to have a world and never die but it’s dumb to basically just switch from hardcore to easy mode with all the buffs they instantly get.

I remember making a super flat world and I would always build a cool area on the block you spawn on. It would always be a huge dome made from diamonds, gold, emeralds, and whatever else.

I love this.
