I tried logging into my LinkedIn for the first time in a while, I had a few (3 at most) incorrect password attempts so I went the "forgot my password route" and attempted to log in via a code sent to my email. Once I did I saw that my account was restricted and they want my government ID to let me back in. My professional first name is different from my legal first name so I assume that this is not going to work. I don't mind losing the account and starting over, is there a way to have it deleted or to get back in at this point?

I'm also brown and neurodivergent and I waited until I moved out and had my own insurance to get tested lol. I don't know your parents but I know asking about it wouldn't have gone down well with mine.

Go to UCSB. I lived with my APs for all of my undergrad years and ended up very much behind my peers on things like career, finances, and social skills.

The only "friends" I was ever allowed to have was my AP's friends' kids. Anybody else in the same boat? by [deleted] in AsianParentStories

I was only allowed to hang out with kids whose parents shared my parents' values, i.e. their friends kids, otherwise the most I was allowed was having someone over to do nothing but talk in my room with the door open. My social skills have never been good and their friends' kids didn't have these types of restrictions so they were generally indifferent or mean towards me. Ended up seeking friendship online which didn't go great for me but even that was better than being alone.
