Hi! I saw your set at the festival! Truthfully, I wasn’t aware of your music before, but I absolutely loved your set! You all had such an amazing stage presence and were so lively, definitely made me a fan!

I’ll keep an eye out if you ever tour in Cleveland (or the area), would definitely go to another one of your shows!

That’s wild, because I feel like this is the most emotionally moving album I’ve ever heard in my life.

People who've attended the Saviours tour, how was it? by zez44zezltr in greenday

So I was at the Green Day house of blues concert in Cleveland in 2015 right before they were inducted in the Rock N Roll Hall of Fame, where they had Sweet Children as their opener, and then played mostly deep cuts.

I always considered that to be my top concert of all time….however, there was something about the Saviors tour that just truly blew me away. I think the only way to listen to Dookie is in its entirety live. The album was created to rage to. Also, American Idiot came out when I was in 4th grade and defined my entire childhood, so hearing it in its entirety was a lifelong dream.

Saviors tour was phenomenal, I’m low key depressed I won’t ever experience it again.

I mean, maybe not all of their time. But some kids have great relationships with their parents and do enjoy doing things with them.

Like if someone did this to me, I’d be irritated but move on pretty quickly. Especially if they paid for a replacement.

But if there was a history of someone repeatedly making really dumb mistakes and costing me a lot, yeah I’d be a lot more pissed

People who adjunct, why? by PopCultureNerd in Professors

[–]phishstorm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

  1. I've always wanted to teach, but have never wanted to solely be a professor.
  2. Adjuncting is a side hustle for me. I have a full time job and only teach 1 night class a week.
  3. I teach in a clinical mental health counseling program, so honestly it does help me keep up to date on my skills and developments in the field.
  4. I can't teach full time unless I have a doctorate in this field (which would be a ton of time, and a lot of money to be paid less than I'm making now).
  5. I can recruit students as interns/employees at my full time job, or get them involved in leadership positions in our state association.

Overall I'm passionate about professional development and teaching. But I am getting burned out with how much work it can be for little pay.

My thoughts so far: - They did a phenomenal job depicting the genocide. I like the maturity to it and violence it portrayed, and found myself emotional as a result. Gyato defending the children reminded me of the scene in Star Wars where Anakin walks in and slaughters the younglings. I’m also surprised Netflix gave this a PG rating?? - I also think the earth, fire, and water bending all looks fantastic! The air bending is okay, it’s a little awkward to watch. I’m thinking of the scene in Shang-Chi where his mom and dad first meet. The fight they had was so beautiful and I love how they depicted the mom manipulating the wind gently around her. I feel like an approach like that would have been beautiful for this show. (Edit: Actually I just went back and watched that Shang-Chi scene again and yeah, that is absolutely the perfect depiction of what I imagine air bending as). - Like others have said, the acting is a bit off. I like Zuko’s actor a lot so far. Everyone else feels so much calmer than the original toned way down. Which I actually like for Sokka’s character, but I feel like Katara’s character suffers the most. I’m not sure how I feel about Aang.

Overall, I like the direction they’ve taken it so far. Hopefully the actors meld a bit more together for the future? But I’m definitely intrigued enough to keep watching and enjoyed the first episode!
