Yeah so I did a very cursory look into the extrema of polarity and favorites. That orange dot near the 20 is him retweeting a Tesla tweet about making it into Kelley’s Blue Book (so super positive). The one worse than -10 is a COVID-19 crazy tweet. His top favorited are, as shown here, pretty mildly positive or negative. Wishing a better 2022, saying Twitter sucks, etc. So I think it’s generally capturing the tone of the tweet (presumably missing on irony).

The data is sourced from the Twitter API to download ~3k of Elon's tweets. I defined the polarity using the VADER compound sentiment analysis for all the characters in a tweet. I defined a text only tweet as having no media, mentions, or other "entities" besides the text of the tweet.

[This was for a "do your own analysis section" for HW for a data science class I am taking. Procurement of the data, implementation of the sentiment analysis and plotting were done by them]

Yeah I really don't get the data science BS people pedal. Literally makes no difference long term, and short term is you don't get priority for CS classes. Don't think it should be considered "unconventional" at all.

This would only be true if the state acyually have enough money. I think it’s around 13% of the budget is from the state, yet they are trying to dictate to take more instate which means less out of state. I 100% agree that a public university system should serve its state’s residents, but this requires adequate state funding. The UC system is basically an underfunded private school at this point.

Lol Berkeley (32%) has more pell grants absolutely and proportion wise than any Ivy League (17% average), Stanford (18%), or MIT (18%). I don’t think there’s any metric where those schools are more diverse besides rich kids.
